whatever happened to fruit juice drinks from st. ides? they should have gone into health drinks- like with Vitamin water, have different flavors, plus some diet versions.. not everyone is into malt liquor.
Anybody remember the Red Bull commercials? They had some Rasta rapping and a bunch of rottweillers on chains barking in an alley. "Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, red bull is what I'm sayin"
I know they werent muslim since birth. Ice Cube was in the nation of islam when this was made. Thats why common said that line in the bitch in yoo-"And violate you, a muslim drinking brew".
@Freshhhhh1982 GOD ISNT A WHITE MAN WITH A WHITE BEARD SITTING ON A CLOUD but to say theres no GOD is like saying theres no such thing as life in the ocean. saying theres no GOD is like saying flowers and insects dont exist. mr.know-it-alls like you only create shit that turns into junk after a while. GOD is lighting and lava. lava makes islands. the designs of life are in the lava. the core of the earth is like a small cool star.
It does matter. God may not exist, but religion still does. So such concepts are still very valid in discussion. It's like saying: "Oh Dracula doesn't exist, so he doesn't matter at all".
@MrMakaveli58 Read in a Chuck D interview that Cube had already taken up "counsciousness" (and probably Islam as well) by the time the ads hit the public, because St Ides held on to them, or some of them for quite some time!
@Freshhhhh1982 thank you i been syin this for years when i was youngei reay didnt pay no mind bu as i got older and realized what geto boys and cube rapped on there albums about the white man and government and then they make a commercial dealng wt st. ides hat targets the black community its well known they were and cube and them fell for the bait
@Freshhhhh1982 I know Ice Cube is one of these muslims you talk about but who's the other, Scarface? But Face converted just a couple of years ago, and this was waaaay before that.
I'm not sure if Ice Cube is drinking any alcohol nowadays but he surely did back in these days.
More conspiracy theory bullshit. Just watch the damn video. BTW the Lucis Trust was formed in 1920 by a private citizen, a full 25 years before the formation of the UN.
Believe what you wish fair enough, AmeriKKKa's foundation is a conspiracy- game recognize game.
I suggest you read up on "lucis trust aka lucifer trust" and you'll find out that it was originally called "The Lucifer Publishing Company" founded by known Occultists Ann Bailey & Helena Blavatsky- do the luciferian math.
Their company is listed as 'Saint Ides Brewing Company' on their website, also see beeradvocatedotcom. Saint Ides is an Irish Saint. 'St.' is always short for 'saint', (which is a religious ref, of course, too)
I got chop it up with "bushwick" for almost a hour,& smoked a Nug Blizunt' With the lil dude. He's a trip in realtyme.Dat little niggga; was so damm cool..
to blackmilitant...I dont think they feel that bad...they had nothing to do with the ingredients...but it was the new 40oz to drink at tha time..and back then thats what a lot of black men did...drank 40ozs..smoke weed....an talk shit..now u dont see rappers advertising 40ozs any more.. EDUCATION...is what happened...u might see them advertising liquor now like puffy...and if u do anything in excess its going to be bad for you...Drinking, Eating, anything...hell if u drink to much fuckin water
I bet these mother fuckers feel bad as hell to find out the ST IDES gave thousands of black men prostate cancer from its ingredients...thats what I call selling out to the man. The whole thing was probably planned
I got the full version of this song on a cd that will not play no more. I am trying to just rip this one song. Willie D had 2 more verses on it, Scarface had one more and Bill said 2 more lines. Cube was done after the first verse. Trying to upload it on here.

I remember Face and Cube collaborating on "Hand of the Dead Body" that was real, but for a St. Ides commercial... Goddamn who's next? Corporations using hip-hop to market. I seen a Colt 45 add the other day shit was def for a younger crowd.
Malcolm X once said you can't get liquor without the white man's permission because everytime you open a new bottle, that's a government seal that you are breaking. St. Ides...a product of the Pabst Brewing Company. Sorry but Cube, Biggie, Pooh, & Dre sold out. And Cube had the nerve to call Hammer a sellout. Hammer did endorsements for Pepsi, Taco Bell, KFC, Hallmark, & Frito Lay, and yet alcohol has done more damage to the black communities than all of these companies combined.
fuck cube and all these other sellouts who claim there against the system or the man and then they make these st. ides commercials double malt sellout ass niggas
If you think this is bad, check out the DJ Pooh St. Ides commercial. Commercialized fools looking like a couple of Amos & Andys. And this came out back when 'pro blackness' was popular among the masses and nobody protested this? I don't get it.
fuck all that....get your money. unless u giving Cube and the Geto Boys checks, shut the fuck up and dont judge what they do. niggaz always complaining about some selling out bullshit.
what gets me is ppl, who think there is no difference btw these st. ide's spots and Bud light comm. with pick up trucks and cowboy boots. Both have celebrities who are being paid to do a job, that is target an audience. What they fail to see is that the Bud Light ads differ from the St. Ide's ads in that they aren't targeted at such a vulnerable class. The poor black youth was the target of this ad. These spots would come on b.e.t and the box in mass production during after school time.
Preach Brother, I think Ice Cube toyed with the idea of being Muslim when it was fashionable. He was never a full fledge Muslim. He is a Capitalist at all cost. That means he will do anything to make money. Including killing his own people pushing the cheap azz poison malt liqour, which was made by the Kracker along with cheap wine i.e. Mad Dog, Night Train, Boones Farm Apple wine to keep us drunk fighting and shooting each other and for the most part poor and ignorant.
Who said something about suckin' di*k? Listen here you fag as punk. We were talkin' about rappers pushin' beer. And who in the fuck you suppose to be, Given the chance you'd probably sell ya funky ass!!! How dare you talk down on a man that's working hard and paying his taxes. Cube, and many others blk and white entertainers were paid to market beer, wine, Cig, condons you name it. Its always some broke MF on the sideline with the most to say! Now,I disagree with the beer ads. For each its own!
I see I hit a nerve with you about suckin di*k. You shouldn't take it personal unless you do it for money. It looks like you are the FAG! Anyway, you idiot, all you had to say was you disagree with the ad. The Ku Klux Klan is a legal organization who pays taxes also. I would disagree with a dum nigga doing a commercial for them also and if you are Black, so should YOU!
With all the street knowlege these cats had they still sold out to the Kracker for poisoning our people. I Guess you had to take the good with the bad. Dem niggas say they luv us and are 4 us but if paid well by the master they will take the overseer position get the money and fu*k us in the azz with the masters whip.
Saheeb...You speak the truth.....& the truth is always cuts the deepest ......Dont Hate of Saheeb yall.....I'm used to like Cube & GB but look at this vid?!?!?!...The devil disguises his trickery!!!!
Wu-Tang huh. Tell me something. As glorious and historical as Africa is, how come this group choose to worship and glorify Asians? Wu-Tang is a joke on YOU! Self-Hatred
They don't worship asians. Wu-Tang is a kung-fu style that is invincible, and since they see themselves as invincible in hip-hop, they call themselves the wu-tang clan. So what, they like kung-fu movies? Is that a crime?
it's so funny because evrybody was saying hammer was a sellout for doing pepsi and taco bell commercials but these dudes are pushing liquor to kids LOL But the commercials were the bomb though. advertising machine cares nothing for our people--or any people for that matter
this was the beginning of the end for hip hop. when They started throwing dollars at US. oh well that was the past, this commercial is still tight ass ish.
Oly shit! my gawd my gawd I used to fuckin' love these commercials back in highschool--since i never went I was lucky enough to see these while chillin' at home:
St. Ides is still the best and fuck PC for fucking up my malt liquor commercials betches.
I've never seen a commercial for St. Ides in my life, let alone one with big rappers! (And a particularly little one. Thanks for that, that's the first time I got a good look at Bill's whole body.)
I recorded this during an episode of Pump It Up with host Dee Barnes. It was a hip-hop video show in the early 90's. It aired on Fox at midnight, Saturdays.
They used to rock this on that old video channel called "The Box" where you could phone in video requests.
My cousin and me were watching, one night, and this commercial came on...we immediately went out and got a 40 each of St Ides, and we were tore out da frame by the time we finsihed the bottle.
i have been looking for this and finally found it. Although i was to young to drink at the time, but ahhhh the memories. thx for uploading this work of art.
UGH!!!!! I've watched almost all of the St. Ides commercials on youtube and thought all the rappers should of made their songs into full tracks to put onto a soundtrack for the beverage...it would of been ill....
Anybody know the sample to this?

'Saint' Ides - an Irish Saint.
ogfunk187 2 years ago 3
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Let me restate this- it is illegal to make any type of religous references in relation to any type of alcohol for sale in America- look it up.
Thus the ST in ST Ides is short for satan just like the UN's "luci's trust" is short for "lucifer's trust".
Believe what you wish though but the evidence is out there if you want to find it.
