Sam Lake the writer of Max Payne wrote a poem gave it to Poets of the fall to translate into a song. There it was Late Goodbye is made. Oh Yess if you played the 1st Max Payne, Marko Saaresto Poets of the fall vocalist is Vlad in the comic cutout scenes. Sam & POTF are close friends.

All of you who are worried about the storyline and atmosphere of Max Payne 3 should just take it easy, after all this is Rockstar studios that we're talking about. Did the atmosphere of GTA IV feel happy, or sunny? Hell no, it was dark, gritty, brutal and ruthless. Every time it started raining in that game I could feel the shivers going down my spine; the gaming environment wasn't happy at all. And what about Red Dead Redemption? The story was also a masterpiece and they captured...

Rockstar did not create Max Payne one or two. Remedy created Max Payne and it was published by 3D Realms the guys who made Duke Nukem.

Rockstar only did the porting of the game One and Two to consoles, they had nothing to do with the story, gameplay or anything.

Rockstar hasn't made a truly good game since Vice City.

I can imagine new setting being still climatic - they can use unbelievable heat instead of "blizzard of the century" and empty backalleys/slums/something. Or they can go for psychological aspect, Max being truly alone in a crowded city full of strangers.

In MP1 and MP2 there was a huge city with blizzard/rainy night and the story presented by the comic-strips. That was so incredibly fukken awsome... such a sad and noir move atmosphere.

I don't know, maybe MP3 will be good game as well but I frankly doubt it :(

film noir is nice, but it's wearing thin. it worked amazingly well in the 1st and became monotonous in the 2nd (tried way too hard to be deep and dark but just came off as bland).

and finally, do you want all 3 games to take place in the same environment? why? there are other continents and weather patterns in the real world.
