I own one and don't find it to be at all bouncy.....that's coming from an accord, obviously these two don't ride the same...but the trade off is AWD and more cargo space....not looking for a street racer....go buy a 5 door WRX/sTI....jeez
Yeah I want in dash nav and all it's costly upgrades. My cell phone does all things this guy wants and it hooks up to the stereo in even this Outback. Techie guys are always begging for the latest technology that will be out of date in 6 months. Best term for guys like this...."Space Age" aka: 1960's.
You just drove one of the best cars in the world and your bitching that it's not "techie" enough for you. Shut the hell up and enjoy the ride. What a fucking whiner!
I have an 09 and if the 10 has such a bouncy ride, I'll keep my 09.
As for the performance of the 2.5, WTF do you expect???
I have the 2.5 with auto and knowing what to expect out of it, it's a nice power-train.
I never anticipated drag racing a WRX and expect to win, come on people, quit trashing the 2.5, it's a great engine and even better than the 3.6 when Turbo charged.
I think you guys are missing the point of a CNET car review. :) They provide a unique perspective on the ever increasing technology in vehicles these days. There are countless other reviews out there if you want to hear people read the marketing material provided by the manufacture. So it's nice to see reviews where they aren't afraid to dig into the vehicle and tell you how they really feel. :)
Who cares about your media technology ? It's a reliable , inexpensive , awd car that will carry you and your family thru snow and that will not empty your wallet with fuel thirst. Go work at Future Shop .
Jesus Christ, it's a fucking car! Vehicles were not intended to be "media centers." Accidents happen because "tech savvy" douchebags are more interested in watching DVDS and fiddling with their ipods than they are driving.
@billyhirivine09, a tech review is one thing, a tech bitch-whine review is another. He's an annoying chap..and as for you..fuck off.

Seriously, this guy misses the point of a Subaru. Where is the reviewer that knows about outdoor recreational use vehicles!?

Tech? Who cares. The main reason not to buy this car is its worst in class acceleration with the 2.5.
