I think that the bigger part of that similar type of products of TC-Helicon are a bit more guitarist oriented. Where is the Harmony-M XT, full year after the G XT is on the market?
I think there should be a product somewhere on the middle, something like VoiceLive Touch, but only without the Vloop, I't ll be cheaper, and it will find wider place on the market i think.
I play in a Metalcore/Hardcore band, but we have very melodic power chord driven choruses. Some of the chords for these choruses are in VERY low tunings.
I am very interested in getting a processor to give my vocals harmonies for that HUGE chorus feeling but my question is this:
Will the VoiceTone Harmony be able to detect chord in a Drop F tuning?
@nintendowiifreak88 Hiya, We've found that the tuner goes to a low G at it’s minimum so I’d say that’s the limit. Haven't tried it with a low F but it is within the range of a bass guitar so it may well work.
@nintendowiifreak88 How are you doing Drop F dude? Surely you've gotta be using a 7 or 8 string yeah? You could have your harmonies up the octave so they arent so low. They'll cut through better in the mix if they arent heaps uber low too.
where can I find clips of full bands playing with the singer using this product. all i've seen are solo acts with pre recorded backing tracks. Does this pedal work with a full live band? Live drums, bass, electric guitars, acoustic all playing around it?
@MrSWB2010 Hiya, I've sent you an example via a message as YouTube doesn't allow me to post links here. If you have a browse through TC-Helicon's favourited videos on our channel, you're bound to find some more in there to check out using a whole band situation :).
@tchelicon Hey, send me that links too... and by the way, I want to hear Laura and Tom singing at the same time, each one with one HG, sounding like a Big crowd people chorus, doesn't this could be a great experiment?.....
@marizmendi1656 Hiya, I have sent a message to you with some links. Cool idea re the Harmony-G I can certainly pass this on as an idea to Laura and Tom... You never know!
@lowgitek HIya, Yes, the VoiceWorks Plus is capable of changing gender on each one of the 4 harmony voices. For more info on this check out page 17 of the manual available for free download via the TC-Helicon website. To control harmonies via guitar with this unit you would need the Harmony Control pedal that is available seperately.
@lowgitek As far as using a mixer goes, it really depends how you have set it up. To make sure you are doing the right thing it may be worth contacting our support department as they are always there to help. You can find a link to them in the support section of the website.
@bigosan Hiya, Unfortunately gender control for the backing harmonies is only available with the VoiceLive Classic, VoiceLive 2 & VoiceWorks Plus. With the Harmony-G XT, some editing capabilities were exchanged for ease of use. Simplicity was one key factor when designing this particular pedal.
The backing track feature is only available with the VoiceLive 2 as one of the newest and main selling features.
too bad for me! i should have bought a voice live 2 pedal! XD
anyway, i think that Harmony-G XT is a kicking-ass pedal! it's really simple to use (even without reading the instructions or watching tutorial-videos) and advanced functions and effects are awsome! exactly what i needed to play my music!
in my opinion it would be nice to have some extra-control on the guitar sound, but from a vocalist point of view it's simply great! ;-)
@bigosan You're very welcome :). I'm so glad you're enjoying your Harmony-G XT, thanks so much for the positive feedback :). I look forward to hearing some of your work!
@jesterraj Hiya, With the Harmony-G XT and VoiceLive 2 you can set a key or scale if you don't want to have the guitar giving it the chordal information for creating your harmonies. With the VoiceLive 2 you can also use a backing track (any audio sound source) to give it the information it needs for creating harmonies. Let me know if you have any more specific questions on a specific TC-Helicon unit :).
I love to listen to Laura's songs on here. She has an amazing voice, and some serious talent. Better singer than a lot on the radio. Hope she makes good money for such a great voice.
That kind of equipment, would be such a blast, to play with.... But then again, if I had it... I'm not sure I could run it... Can't even up load, down load, or what ever they call it, a video, here on you tube... lol Just know how to add to favorites....
I love your channel :)

@nintendowiifreak88 Just run the signal through an octave pedal before you send it to the TC.

does it is possible with voiceworks plus? I've one and I would be interested in the parameters that I should try to get same type of effect ;)
I have been testing with reverbs, and voice tunes but not much success on it, I'm using a mixer so maybe is some problem with dry voice

i have a couple of questions! i've just bought an harmony-g xt and i would like to know:
is it really possible to adjust or select the gender of the backing voices and get both male and female voices at the same time?
is the backing-track function included in the harmony g xt pedal?
thanks a lot! (sorry for my bad english! =P)
