I've heard the reasoning many times that "if you're not doing anything wrong, then why would you protest if you're stopped for questioning by an officer or asked to present I.D.?" It is really sad to see that so many people are upset by the fact that people are choosing to exercise their rights. I understand that some of you may not have had problems with the police, but the fact is the majority of them are crooked, they are a gang and will look out for their own, even if you are right and they are wrong they will back up their "brotherhood." People have the right to free speech without state harassment; we also have a right to know what our public servants are doing on our dime. While there is nothing illegal about police taping things in public, this surveillance can and does quickly descend into harassment and slander (wiki COINTELPRO for background).

Never said bad cops dont exist. But thier are more good cops out there trying to do good because they really care about people. You dont know me but I am one that tries to help. And yes I have seen an officer get turned in for an incident and he will lose his job, and it was not crimminal. You act like we have a job that we can go out in the streets and act like fools. Being a cop is a career, I dont know many jobs that pay me 75,000 a year and when I retire I get 90% of my pay.

I think it's time we stop thinking about protecting the rights of criminals and starts protecting the general public. How many kids have been killed in drive by shootings and such? I personally wouldn't mind if the police held mass executions of gangsters and other criminals in public. In the course of his writings, he alleges to have a couple of documents which the Denver PD makes that label, never shows, just alleges. The remaining matches make reference to his allegations. I would guess Denver has a force of a couple thousand. Some are exceptional, some are medicore. Most, though, go to work with good intent, to do the right thing.

They are also bound to carry out their duties with respect to constitional awareness and DOJ oversight.
