@SwedishBerzerker well i have problem ^^ , my pc keep restarting every 5 second after i pres START button and dont go to windows . than i unmount side panels and everythink work . looks like static elektric , but i dont know what to do ... i cant use pc with side panels on case mounted , also my friend have this problem
@salam14111 You have mounted the little screws that the motherboard is mounted upon, right? I forgot that at first. I think they're called "stand-offs" or something like that.
Another thing I forgot about is the separate power cable to the CPU, but I don't see how that could be related to your problem.
@salam14111 I screwed the motherboard directly onto the chassis, instead of using the stand-offs to separate it from the metal. Foolish, I know, but it was my first time ;)
But I don't think that's what caused my problem - like I said, I forgot to add the 12V power rail to the CPU.
btw I ordered the computer from cyberpower pc and didn't request any overclocking and didn't do it my self. If you're considering buying from them, DON'T. their quality control sucks soooo bad. they had the cd drive set as the primary boot drive and over clocked it when i didn't request it. So stupid.
I had a similar problem with a gigabyte g1 guerrilla and hopefully solved it by going into the bios and selecting load optimum defaults. this resets all the bios settings to the manufactures specifications and removes any overclocking. Led warning lights on the mobo were saying voltage was a little high but not in the red zone. all those warning lights are off now.
@orginunknown It's nothing like that actually. Believe me, I've tried all of those easier solutions like resetting the BIOS etc. It's not overclocked or anything. I ran a RAM test a while ago and it seems it's something to do with the RAM, but I haven't really bothered to fix it yet. The computer works fine any way, or at least judging by what meets the eye. This is my first computer and I put it together myself, plus I'm Swedish, so I'll likely not be buying from them ;)
@muffemod Thanks, I'll check it out! But I believe it's the RAM because when I did memtest86, one ofthe memories caused a huge amount of jibberish on the screen after a few cycles.
Enter the BIOS and set it up to the default settings.....to see if the HW is properly connected...and then you can start playing with settings in BIOS. If the HW have been set up incorrectly, it would beep from the very beginning of the start up process. And it's not your situation - as I saw in vid....PC started correctly, but BIOS applied some settings that screwed up the start up process. Look for the RAM modules frequencies set up, or CPU overclocking section....
Its usually the RAM sticks, try plug them out and in again. If that doesent work try one and one RAM stick at a time to see if one of them is fucked. If the problem stil consists, buy a mac. nah, just kidding xD But good luck!
are you using a usb keyboard, you might need the actual keyboard connection to use it before the Os has started, but sounds like you need to get into bios and change ur boot config file. do you have a recovery disk that you can boot from?
@intelyorkfield I suppose I could, but the computer turns off after five seconds (check it out at 13:05), so I don't have time to do anything really :(
@intelyorkfield Corsair 850AX, Intel core i7 2600K, 2x4 GB 1600 MHz Corsair Vengeance RAM, Hitachi 7K3000 HDD (Sata 6Gb/s, 7200 rpm), Intel 510 SSD (Sata 6Gb/s), Gigabyte 560Ti, he motherboard is a GA-Z68X-UD4-B3. I mention most of them in the video.
There shouldn't be any compatibility issues, I've checked all components for hours before buying them.
No, there's no integrated or external speaker. The BIOS beeps about six times though.
@intelyorkfield The power in the motherboard is a 24-pin ATX cable from the PSU, and a 12V cable from hte PSU to the CPU. I show it all in the video. They sit very tight, and I've even tried removing all connectors in the PSU and connecting them once again.
Hey. I don't know a whole lot about this, but from all my experience, pretty much everything that can be wrong can be fixed either by accessing the BIOS setup center (spam Del button usually) OR connecting hardware properly. And you say you connected everything accordingly to the manual and I didn't see a problem, though it's still what can cause your computer to abort startup
-My advice is- go to BIOS setup screen and check for problems there (google can help for specific info)
I fixed mine by changing out the RAM cards.

@EarthAdvocate1 Yeah, RAM is one of the crucial things to even make the computer start up in the first place.

Hi which BIOS version are you using?
muffemod 5 months ago
@muffemod F8, the latest. The computer works fine now, but the weird beep code remains.
SwedishBerzerker 5 months ago
@SwedishBerzerker You should google "gigabyte boot loop" apparently it's a common issue with many of their boards.

Any news?...
No way to enter the bios ....you can also try to reset the mobo; there is a button in the mobo, check the manual.

Had this problem with two computers and it ended up being the ram sticks, either the contacts are dirty or they are not compatible.

@rl713 I thought so too at first, but it turned out the CPU overheated because of too much thermal compound. So it's all solved and good now :)

Ok...sorry but i don't understand spoken english very well, but understand writen english! :) Can you enter the bios during the bios screen on?
Is the keyboard connected?I can't see any lights.
What kind of bios on the mobo? Award or AMI??
It could be also the ram stick... Can you check the ram on another motherboard?
intelyorkfield 5 months ago
@intelyorkfield I suppose I could, but the computer turns off after five seconds (check it out at 13:05), so I don't have time to do anything really :(
Nope, neither is the mouse.
Award.
I'll try it out with just one stick tonight.
SwedishBerzerker 5 months ago
Write the hw Spec.
PSu, cpu, ram, hd or ssd, graphic card?
The mobo's rev or bios version supports the cpu?? and the ram?
Have you put a speaker?? I can't hear any sound at start up...any beeps?
No message on screen??
Recheck all cables connetions and try to start with just one stick of ram installed and one HD/ssd (the primary).
the mobo's auxilary power is correctly connected?
