i think you have to consider that the mpc was the only way for a longtime. some are married to the mpc feel, sound, and midi quantize. the maschine has some of that and some things that are maschine only. such as the integration with software. which will give you as much sample time as you computer hard drive has. not so with mpcs...

Korg PadKontrol is cheaply made and inferior as a controller compared to an MPD24

The Maschine is a hybrid of hardware and software, and thus works differently from a MIDI pad controller

i think its better than both because it is easier to use and has a very useful in-built sequencing software. its also got alot more functions than the 24 at least..

this just misses the mark (even though i AM getting it next week) If NI indeed makes a way to load Vst Synths into the Maschine Software,..then it will be BIG !!!!! I understand about using it as a plug-in in a daw (thus giving us the ability to run vst synths with it) but there are many of us out here who would LOVE to not have to open up a daw. I have Komplete and it would be so hot to load my synths into maschine. The good thing is it could possibly be a future update (hopefully)

great machine, maybe u could give me advice about integrating it in my current set-up. but it's pretty crowded already.. although i might sell my cdx disc lab and replace it with this.

then i would like to know about voice and wavesamples.
