I remember going to Sega World back in late 1997 while i was visiting my Aunt's friend when i was four years old. I still remember the Sonic Live in Sydney show when after the show i got my photo taken with Sonic and Sally. Too bad it's gone now. I used to see my Aunt's friend play a lot of Virtua Fighter 3. Heck. She was also crowned VF3 champion in a tournament!
As much as I love the whole Sega World concept, I'm afraid I have to agree. Sega has a history of poor financial decisions when it comes to their attractions. The final nail in the coffin for Sega World was that it was just too expensive. It would cost a family of four (two adults, two children) over $100, and each person would only get 20 credits to spend on rides and games. Really, it's no wonder they closed down in 3 years.
i remember when i was a kid it had real metal sega coins with sonic on them for the arcade machines keapt them but ive lost em somewhere
