The video to this song is different from what the lyrics suggest.

The video gives a "hero" who saved this girl from the lonely outback,and took her back home, only for him to turn out to be a serial killer and she is killed. As he tries to bury he sees her "angel" and the spirits of those he has previously killed,and goes insane with guilt.

However,the lyrics alone seem to suggest a lover who has abused her and was the woman's "saviour or hero" only then to have deceived her.

Okay, i honestly think that this has nothing to do with religion. Remember sometimes that bands/artists make vids doesn't mean the songs are based on the vids. I think the vids are the bonus to the song. I think that the message she's trying to get across in the vid is that she trusted and loved somone who she thought very highly of and someone who should have protected her heart. And when she found out that everything about that person was a lie, her heart was broken and ended that relationship

Saw them in 2007 in Montreal (for those of you who did not know that they exist more contry then the USA... its in Canada) what a great night it was! Stolen Babies, In this moment, Within Temptation and the grand finaly with Lacuna Coil. Best show i've ever seen and also the best performance was Within Temptation of course!
