  • You have no idea how to teach. You are more like a robot giving away information rather than a teacher who stimulates the mind. Does IIT turn out mindless robots? Take a look at some effective teaching material on YouTube. Or look at MIT OCW to see what contemporary teaching looks like. Dork!

  • hi everyone! Where can I get the pdfs of these Perl class videos? I checked the IIT Khadakpur site, but didn't find 'em. If someone has the links, please reply. Many thanks!

I am very grateful to find these tutorials on youtube. Awesome job by IIT and Prof. Sengupta.

    God bless.

  • Thanks for the video.

Just that he is extra slow..Else, thumbs up!

  • Explanation is apt for beginners, but he needs to improve on english a bit!!!!!!!!!

  • maderchod khud ki english dekh lo

  • Thanks for this lecture!

  • very structure and easy to understand all the secrets of perl, thanks

  • Great lectures, Mr. Sengupta, one issue I had was you didn't show any output right after each program. Adding that would make it more easier to understand that you already made it look:)

  • @balabujji

I certainly agree that having runtime examples is helpful, but there's alot to cover. And the best part about these video tutorials is that you can pause and take notes or pause and actually test it yourself. Which surely must be one of the best ways to learn

  • Excellent video. I appreciate to putting on the youtube..

  • Thank you for uploading such a nice and educative video. Thanks to Prof Sengupta for his lecture.

  • Thanks for the lecture. I have been listening to your lectures since I've stumbled upon it. I'm 50 years old --not to late to learn. I've learned a lot from your lectures.

  • This is a good lecture.

  • Hi Sengupta,

Nice Lecture and I appreciate your work.

I want to point a small correction in 'elseif' slide. In Perl there is no 'elseif', it should be 'elsif'.
