The reason you should believe in God is so that you do what He says. Simple as that! But God is not some tyrannical kill-joy like must unbeleivers assume. He wants you to love Him as He loves you. But we have to understand that He alone sets the standards to goodness and perfection. Without God, there would be no law. Science LOVES being wrong, it means they are closer to the truth.
Did you know science is about disproving theories, not proving them? If a scientist could disprove evolution and replace it with another theory they would be a nobel prize winner automatically. Just no-one has.

The difference Christianity and all of the cultures and religions that that women is talking about is that those religions are pagonistic and Chritianity is not. Really evoulutionists are no different from any other paganistic religion. They just about worship things that have been dead for a long time, thinking that they will discover something new about the origin of man, to bad their wrong all the time.

The great thing about scientists is that when they are wrong, they will admit it. And then, armed with the new information, they continue searching for truth. Oh, and there is a BIG difference between worshipping something and showing respect for it.

That's exactly as BaxtersBuddy says. Religious people are irresponsible as they don't have explanation for what they say and won't take responsibility for their mistakes unless they leave those ideas. Worshipping things that no longer exist... yeah, right. Read this carefully: are fossils just part of our imagination? They allow scientists to trace back different species to check their changes through aeons.

God exists. The problem is that you "choose" not to listen due to lack of humility. You're listening for an audible voice. God does not talk to us that way, he wispers to your heart and speaks through our interactions with others. But first, you have to believe. Only then, once you believe, will you hear the voice of God. Until you "choose" to stop doubting, you will only hear the voice telling you he does not exist.

And one last thing; is it really logical to say that just because you see something that you don't like in the bible about God, that it negates His reality? You can dislike God or deny Him all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that He exist.

You're clearly a religious zealot. To say that I'm blind because I choose to be blind because I have an understanding of science, have read the bible and it doesn't make sense to me, and don't believe a higher being is needed to fill the gaps between science and our understand of the world is rediculous.
If you can't see how your logic defeats itself then you are, clearly, a religious zealot.

A zealot!? Perhaps I am. But religious? No way! I'm a zealot for TRUTH! I believe that the bible IS scientifically correct. There's no contradiction between it and science at all. It appears to me to be 100% scientifically accurate in ervy thing it makes mention of in terms of nature. Please give me just one part in the bible that does not much up to today's science. Just one.

For much of the bible, there is no contradiction between science and the bible. Primarily because the bible contains no science. What it does contain, is text that is contrary to the finding of science. To interpret the bible literally, you would assume that the earth, the sun and the moon were made within 7 days of one-another. Which is absurd.
You would also believe that dinosaurs lived less than 6000 years ago, and alongside man no less.

Since when is telling historic truth "attacking?" Nope. The truth is that religionists worldwide (Christian, Islamic, etc.) are the ones "attacking" everybody who won't conform. In the name of Peace and Love, of course. "Convert 'em or kill 'em." Same old story. The last thing bullies will admit is that they're bullies. When caught by the truth, they inevitably claim they're "victims." No deist or atheist ever burned anybody at the stake or beheaded anybody for his or her "religion." Get real.

Dear reader, anyone who understands history can accept that many pagan and rituals have been appropriated by Christianty such as the trinity, christmas, etc. In short, The jews were given the torah but, rejected jesus's prophecy which is blaspheme. The christians were given the gospels and associated God with Jesus as a trinity which is also blasphme. The Muslims were given the Quran which is the final testament and they accept Jesus as a Prophet. Read the Quran!

Ran out of space. That is incorrect each book had an author, or set of authors, that collaborated in writing it. These books were not GIVEN they were WROTE. Also in the Quran they say Jesus was a prophet not the Messiah and that is one of the main problems that other faiths have with Islam.

Because Christianity has been a force which has held back humanity for so long. The Dark Ages. The Spanish Inquisition. The Catholic Church - silenced any form of science that was against Catholic teachings - including Gallileo's findings that the earth revolved around the Sun.
Christianity preaches at the expense of real progress in the fight against HIV-AIDS. It's full of hypocracy and moral-high-horsing. Need I continue?

First of all, REAL Christianity DOES NOT promote violence. Anyone can call themselves a Christian and be a hypocrite at the same time. but that's that difference between Mankind and Jesus Christ. Jesus was Perfect! Not man.
And 2ndly; Catholicism is not Christianity, The Catholic Church ALONE was responsible for the Inquisition. Not Jesus. Big difference.

It condones ethnic cleansing, it suggests murdering "men who lie with men", it demands violence against your own family should they try to lead you away from God.
Don't tell me it doesn't promote violence - it does. You just choose to ignore that because you aren't a barbarian like the people who wrote it.

No absolutely not! I don't ignore those verses. But what you don't seem to understand is the way God is. God is righteous and perfect, and sin of anykind cannot be in His presence. When sinners were killed in the OT, it was just an expression of how high God's standards are to being perfect.

Apparently you're the one who's not worth arguing or debating with since all you assume is that the bible is racist, sexist, etc.
If you want to to talk and have a REAL intellectual debate on the validity of God's Word, then perhaps you need to first stop making presumptions and read the bible for yourself.

I'm afraid you can't have an intellectual debate with someone of blind faith. Simple as that.
A lack of understanding of our world is not a valid reason to believe in god. A book is not a reason to believe in god. Institutions are not a valid reason to believe in god. Because someone else says there is a god isn't a reason to believe there's a god. The world around us is not a reason to believe there's a god. I can't think of any reason to believe there is a god.

The reason you should believe in God is so that you do what He says. Simple as that! But God is not some tyrannical kill-joy like must unbeleivers assume. He wants you to love Him as He loves you. But we have to understand that He alone sets the standards to goodness and perfection. Without God, there would be no law. Without God, you cannot tell me why it is a 'wrong' thing to murder someone, and who has or had the authority to say that it's wrong. etc.
