  • Thanks, Coz-Girl. Sorry for the late reply. I've been preoccupied lately. I have my 4 poems listed in The Poetry Corner Group. Thanks for telling me about it. 8-)

  • Excellent Scott.

Life is just a fleeting moment in time and memories are all we have during our last moments here.

Paul McCartney`s Yesterday hits home like

    a hammer now.

  • Thanks, Gene. Yesterday... what a great tune. The time spent on aspirations, hopes, and dreams in youth are replaced by a lifetime of memories in our old age. Interesting... this thing called Life.

  • As before, I previously enjoyed the written word, and am now enjoying your recital.

YT makes an ideal platform for this, from you.

    Much respect bro,

    B

  • Hi Barry. Sorry for the late reply! Trying to catch up with Comment Responses. Glad you liked it! 8-)

  • Brilliant, Scott... loved this one! And your reading of your poetry is just wonderful. You're probably wondering why you didn't do this before, aren't you? :)

  • Thanks, Suze! I posted my 4th poem, and here I am still trying to catch up with Comments from my 3rd poem. I need a secretary to help me out. LOL & 8-)

I'm enjoying doing this, but i haven't asked myself why I haven't done it earlier. I try to fill up my time, so I've always had things to do, but it is great having another outlet though to create through.

  • You should save these and enter them in a contest, just to see where it could lead. You never know.

  • Hello mwest. That's an interesting idea. I may have to give it a try.

  • u the man!!

    michael

  • Hello Michael. Man, I'm trying to catch up on my Comment Responses. Thanks for dropping by!

  • You make some great poetry! It's hard to believe you just started doing this, but not surprising. 5 stars

  • Thanks, Rhonda. Yeah, this is a new thing for me, but I intend to go about it as if it were music, so I hope to experiment with the genre as time goes by. 8-)

  • Wonderful :-) Great work.

You read very well also, you have a great voice for poetry.

  • Thanks Jules. Sorry for the late Response! I get caught up on making newer videos, and other stuff, but I appreciate your visit!

  • Now this was an excellent line: "In ignorance we mock each day," such a prelude to the days we spent, thinking we last "forever," I am very impressed Scott, poetry seems such a riddle to most, but it is truly a window into the "soul" of the poet's inner mind, cuts right to the heart of the matter, I am always around my friend.

Side note: I have to agree, I think it may be the beard!

  • Hello Bro D., different folks might interpret what is said in a variety of ways. I've been wondering if I should post the meanings I meant, but then the Video Description might get to long. Ya' think? Oh well, however it's interpreted, I'm hoping people like the stuff.

  • Hi Scott. I've been away which is why I've been so quiet. lol Of course you must do what feels right, but personally I feel with creative work, poetry, art, music or anything else, part of the joy is the freedom to interpret as one needs.

Another great work. I'm so glad you're doing this. :)

  • :-)

  • Javier... 8-)

  • Wonderful poem Scott! :)

  • Thanks, Karen. It's like I told ''theloathlydaddy'' below... it must be the beard somehow! LOL & 8-)

  • Scott you're just about as talented as anyone I know, this is another side... you're a very fine poet! This poem expresses thoughts that I can relate to, thanks for allowing us the privilege to hear it.

  • Thanks, Steve. It must be something to do with the beard I grew. It's roots are pulling on some part of my brain somehow. I wonder what happens if I shave it off? LOL

  • Your getting to be quite the Jane Aire (famous british poet)..Brilliant! Keep them coming..:)

  • Thanks Nina. I'll do a few other kinds of videos first, but I'll make more in the future. 8-)

  • Scott, you sure have a talent for the Arts.

Seems to me that everything you Produce is Masterful.

-It is a pleasure making your aquaintance.

-I am sure that feeling is shared will all your Subscribers.

    -Bravo !

  • Hello, B. Bob. I'll treat your Comment as a pep talk! OK, now I'm working on a new music vid. Just a little jam thing. Thanks, man, for all your support these many months. 8-)

  • Well Scott, you're not only a great Musician,Vid-editor,gardener,Cook, Storyteller, Politic-commentator, composer, now also Poet, man you're living 20 lives in one my friend, great Stuff,I have to listen again this is academy English something like Shakespeare,Greets Vic.

  • Thanks Vic! I'm trying my best at doing this, without sounding too ''out there.'' LOL I don't want to displace my music in the process of attempting this new direction for myself. I guess it's like getting a new gadget that you want to work with for a while, share what you've done, and see what the reaction will be. I think the music, of which there'll be much more to come, will remain more viewable to people though, so I need to consider what music I'll be doing in the near future.

  • Scott that is an incredible fabulous poem; well done you great poet

    Love from us all

My husband of 24 years is 50 but he stays forever young; people often think 'lucky her'; she has got a toyboy; he has to show his ID to prove he is older than 21 when he goes to a bar in the States and even last month he was stopped in a museum since you had to be over a certain age to go to a part of that museum. He never eats sweet things or beef, but lots of vegetables and fruits

  • Hi Helen. Your husband is carded at 50! Holy cow! He better grow a beard, or dye his hair grey!

  • Yeah sure just like Santa; he suggesed the same thing, but I said NO; quite fun walking around with a 'toyboy' lol

    Ellen

  • thanks bodine, a good one.

Awhile ago i decided not to grow old. I intend to grow younger, every day. So far things are working out quite nicely. I hope to dream my way back to my teen years before I turn 70.

  • Hey, I thought you were 107? Good luck with that a age recession. I need to give it a try, too!

  • Yeeps! Really good. 5*

  • Golly gee, thanks, Mr. Curtis. 8-)

  • "My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought, cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives."

    - Hedley Lamarr

I'm in a silly mood this morning and just couldn't resist ;-)

Once again, you've created another poem that intrigues my mind -- giving me yet another glimpse into the imaginative and creative mind of Bodine. *****

  • Hello Jeff. The ''Mind of Bodine'' finds it likes making these poems up, but I guess it's time to give it a break, though I'd like to do more.

  • Why? You are obviously really good at Poetry. Please don't misinterpret my weird sense of humor. Keep it going, bro! :-)))

  • Hi Jeff. Oh, I'm just contemplating how if I do too much of this, my views will get lower. I am here to share what I do with as many people as I can reach out to. I'll balance it all somehow.

  • This is an extremely beautiful piece of poetry!5*

  • Hi Li'l Mick. I guess I shouldn't do too much poetry. They seem to sit dead in the water a bit. Yeah, well... anything that can be done in the realm of creating things is fun and self-fulfilling, but hey, glad you liked it. 8-)
