I haven't heard of it on a 4L60E but they do sell shift controllers for those or some models do allow for modification within the ECU, but I'm not sure VT is one of them, unless you have a Gen-III
@blownhemi Yes, there are shift kits by B&M sold on ebay n few tuning shops around..not sure how good they are, hence trying to find out whether I could try your trick through the ecu..as very recently I decided to tune up the trans and the diff..maybe I'll give those shift kits a go. But mate how your go in changing the ratio for the diff in those VT's(its a six)..cheers
The computer controls all the shift pressures and shift points and it does this by taking information from the car and making the right decisions. If you modify the inputs, you modify the outputs and fool the computer into doing what you want. The factory likes nice smooth shift points so granny doesn't lose her false teeth, we want them firmer and harder
Love the 13 for $1300 from the USA. Like your at attitude, positive and upbeat. Most people will take a V8 and put 5 times that much in it to run 13's. I am assuming that you are talking American dollars, and 1/4 mile running 1320 ft. in 13 sec. And for us in the US, thanks for converting Imperial into Std US measurements, Up here we are not as too swift on the converting yet. Looking forward for the taking the 180 k's limiter off and watching a 12 sec run with less than $1300..

I love sharing what I've learned with this car, I just wish I was closer to the track so we could race it more. At the moment it takes 4.5hrs to tow the car to the track. :(
