His reaction is understandable. EVERY flight I've been on - EVERY FLIGHT - people begin opening the luggage compartments before the plane comes to a halt. Why is following these simple rules so hard for some people? It only ends up delaying everyone else if the crew has to get involved. I don't blame him one bit. Guys this is what happened: Some dumbass bitch decided not to follow the rules and stand up while the plane was still motion so she could get out before everyone and he was just doing his job telling her to sit down but instead she decided to get into an argument with him and started swearing at him. Then she opened the overhead and slamed him on the head with it (you can see the bump on his head) which caused him to..you know snap.
The story makes it sound like the guy did something wrong. When all he did is act like a human. Not a trained attendant or an employee who's job it is to repeatedly take abuse on behalf of an upper management that would cut his job in a second if they thought it would raise their stock price.
Anyone who has ever worked in the service industry would know how this guy felt. Did he make a poor decision or did he just do what most of us don't have the balls to do?

Just Google coked up jetlblue flight attendant. Reports say this dude just flipped. Had powder under his nose when he left the foward head. Was acting very aggitated according to some people on the flight. Saw this woman pull his flight bag from the overhead and questioned her on what she was doing. An exchange ensued. He just wigged out then did this nut job exit. More on this "hero" will come out in the future, all is not what it seems. His bag has been confiscated.

I know this flight attendant from last year when I had flown from JFK to Austin and he was awesome. I know what he must be going through losing a parent is not easy but being told your mother has only a few months. I don't agree with how he re-acted but sometimes it is hard when your dealing with jerks. Kuddo's for Slater and I will still fly Jetblue

@jvforever72 Agreed he needs to own up to the Alcohol he took and the cost of replacing/re-installing the emergency slide but i think there should be no criminal charges what so ever or at least not any felony charges . he was accidentally hit with luggage, small argument and it should have ended there. But of course he's representing a company and they are going to fire him and rightfully so (as much as i get a kick out of what he did)

His reaction is understandable. EVERY flight I've been on - EVERY FLIGHT - people begin opening the luggage compartments before the plane comes to a halt. Why is following these simple rules so hard for some people? It only ends up delaying everyone else if the crew has to get involved. I don't blame him one bit. Dealing with the idiots in the general public every day has got to be taxing on one's patience.

Guys this is what happened: Some dumbass bitch decided not to follow the rules and stand up while the plane was still motion so she could get out before everyone and he was just doing his job telling her to sit down but instead she decided to get into an argument with him and started swearing at him. Then she opened the overhead and slamed him on the head with it (you can see the bump on his head) which caused him to..you know snap.

The story makes it sound like the guy did something wrong. When all he did is act like a human. Not a trained attendant or an employee who's job it is to repeatedly take abuse on behalf of an upper management that would cut his job in a second if they thought it would raise their stock price.
