Universal Studios has been getting onto these filmmakers but h*ll, I love any horro movie w/ sharks and sea monsters/beasts, etc. in it. They're all worth a look, but the credit goes entirely to Steven Spielberg & his masterpiece: Jaws and Peter Benchley's book Jaws, so should the dough. The Italian, Japanese and other countries with the 'foreign' shark horror films just shows the gorehounds what they're missing. ;) Jaws didn't want to gross out people too much, that's all.

For those of you who have seen Jaws(1975), and The Last Shark (L' Ultimo Squalo) aka "Great White (1981), there are scenes completely ripped off from the two films combined w/live footage of sharks in this film here: Cruel Jaws (1995). This is supposedly an Italian-made film & available in English, but lots of films up to this date have indeed ripped Jaws off and other shark horror movies as well. But I watch any & all of them anyway, but Steven Spielberg would sh*t if he saw this.

No, guys. This film does the unthinkable. It rips off not just all four "Jaws" movies but also that incredibly awful Italian "Jaws" rip-off "Great White" (aka "L'Ultimo Squalo" or "The Last Shark"). The shark, that assault on the wind surfers and the attack on the wharf are direct cuts, while the helicopter scene is a recreation shot for shot. Something tells me some European got the rights to "Great White" and cobbled it with a few extra shots in order to bilk gullible movie-goers.

It was never meant to be JAWS 5. It's just a film that pushed copyright regulations as far as possible in order to cash in on the franchise.

@MegaWizard2 It didn't push any regulations, it outright broke them! lol It is littered with footage literally stolen frame for frame from the 1982 movie, "Last Shark" / "Great White". Maybe the "editors" of this film, as they don't even deserve to be called "film makers", thought this was safe to do since Universal had Great White banned from theaters 6 days after it was released. Cruel Jaws is 80% Last Shark footage with a few new badly filmed scenes added to it.
