Hello I´ve been looking around for some kind of acoustic pickup and there L.R. Baggs came up before my eyes on thomann.de; how do they work if i but some effects on, like gain, overdrive etc.
Thanks for any type of answer and great playing there mate! :)
@BryanRason i played a d 15 mahogony today simlular to this and it has a very nice warm sound..
i have the smae pick up on my D 28 i just want to know how did u set up the pick up magnets, i can never seem to get mine from sounding too twangy and i dont like the sound at all..
There was a lot of Pride And Joy in that. Very well played, I must say. Are those still bronze strings, or does the pickup require nickel wound strings to work?
to be honest I don't know cause i just did it off the top of my head.......there are many different elements in there that I have picked up from different style of music
Sounds REALLY clean, Bryan! Crisp and balanced from one end to the other. Not quite "acoustic," but not quite "electric," either. I think the potential is enormous, ranging from a pure amplified acoustic Martin to the ability to rock some serious electric blues licks.
For starters, the playing is oustanding as always. The pickup gives you a little hotter of a signal I think. Perfect for this kind of playing, but I think that mics are still best for the softer fingerstyle stuff, or at least a blend of the two, pickup/mic. But you would know better than me anyway :)
Haha, very nice! Loved the pride and joy parts. That pick-up sounds very nice on your guitar. I actually played that very same style martin not long ago, It's a very fun instrument to play, just comes with a nice price tag haha.
I have a Fishman Rare Earth Blend ordered for my Seagull Parlour. I've done 4 gigs with my pick guard , against my better judgment lol My friend pretended to touch it... he now has no fingers! lol

The pickup is sweet. The playing even more sweeter. Starting to like the more bluesy sounds, specially on my folk guitar.
