  • I know this is nature but this is so so sad to watch. Poor gray whale baby and poor mother. :-( Killer whales are my fave animal though.

  • this is what happens when you dont pay you taxes

  • its a weird feeling. you want the poor grey whale to escape but you also dont want the killer whales to go hungry.

  • they won't go near a blue whale......if there is a megalodon..then i must say..we won't see orcas again.

  • @H3nova Killer whales do hunt blue whales. That's a fact.

  • So sad.

  • maybe free willy was really an asshole too lol

  • damn nature, you scary

  • @ibankhead187 enuf with that overused comment

  • I saw this yesterday and the news finally was both mother and calf, though both badly injured, survived and made it to Alaska.

  • The killer whales are such jerks!

  • @o0oTheBeesKneeso0o Pretty cool though. I once saw a video where a huge mob of killer whales mobbed a blue whale and drowned it.

  • Well at least the Japs didn't get them

  • so sad............

    sob*

  • @pokemonjuki It just way life goes....

  • i have orca fetish

  • thats sad. theyre assholes.

  • @MrOnionRing

Aren't we all? I'm off to get a burger...

  • what show is this from

  • f that...

  • Amazing Video

  • Killer whales aren't the most intelligent animals after humans primates are, the killer whale has the second largest brain out of all animals! Killer whales are part of the dolphin family. They are called killer whales because they kill whales and because of how they kill there prey they are NOT whales! Killer whales are beautifull there my fav animal.

  • I like killer whales too but we must think about how humans are affecting their habitat. We are dumping chemical waste in the water which is passing toxic substances up the food chain and poisoning the whales, we are using disruptive ship sonar which causes them to strand. We are screwing the whole ecosystem up, and then we bitch and whine when a population goes extinct.

  • @Arcticclaws I'm a grammar nazi therefore i must point out your mistakes even if your mistakes are from two years ago. Killer whales are dolphins not whales. You mean species not population.

  • @thesecrethandshakee actually, while primates definitely are smarter than most animals, there is a lot of scientific evidence that suggests dolphins are indeed smarter than primates.

  • @thesecrethandshakee Listen Dolphins and Orca's all fall under the Whales. Whales is a category like Cats. Small house cats all they way to Tigers all fall under it. Same sh*T for Orca's and Dolphins they aren't special they are whales too but have subcategory as the dolphin family. Just how cats have sub categories as well. Also it's still being questioned what are the most intelligent animals. Just because primates mimic us don't mean they are smart. A lot more variables than that.

  • I mean "orca"..."killer whale" is false i think...

  • Killer whales are the most powerful predators on earth. And the most intelligent animal after the human. They are able to know themself when they look in the mirror. And they have different languages and strategies.

  • Ahhhh! I was wondering where I put my mirror

  • I've heard that the Giant Squid are pretty intelligent too. I don't know how they would react if someone shoved a mirror in front of them, they probably might try and attack it.

  • orcas are the smartest predator in the sea, the way they work is amazing

  • It's a good thing these fuckers aren't evolved enough to survive on land otherwise we'd all be dead.

  • we could always shoot them if they ever did though

  • And wipe out another population? Woah, you are a genius!

  • rather them than us...=/

  • I see your point but I think we just have to learn to accept that we are not the only dominant predators at the top of the food chain. The killer whales rule the seas and we rule the land, let's keep it that way.

  • rofl, even though the comments are not very suitable, they are funny :-)

  • @explodingdock lol :)

  • orcas are killermaschin!!!!!!!!

  • I've seen this years ago and I still remember it and why I hate orcas so much now..

  • that's how they are. Just like lions. It's not like it happens allll the time anyway.

  • Yep someone is going to have to start culling the killer whales before they wipe out whole seal populations and make the larger whales extinct.

  • I am more interested in knowing from the killer whales what Jeremy Arseson tastes like. Probably not great.

  • "David Attenborough is forever finding unusual creatures in the deepest parts of the ocean. He tells us how they can see down there in the murky depths and how they mate. He tells us where they live, how they raise their young and how they use their tentacles to find prey. But he never tells us the most important thing: what they taste like. " - Jeremy Clarkson

  • Jeremy Clarkson were!?!?!? l0l i love top gear and also BBC as long as its good

    l0l

  • Killer whales are actually dolphins. They were named killer whales because they kill whales. They also attack blue whales.

  • No killer whales are porpoises

  • they are the largest member of the dolphin family

  • They are named killer whales because they could be big enough to be whales and they kill.

They are dolphins, as they are part of the Delphindae family.

  • There are two cultures of Killer Whales... Transients and Residents. Transients eat mammals only and Residents feed on fish only. This way there's not competition for food! YaY!

  • Would be nice to know what series this clip comes from :)

  • killer whale is a kind of dolphin..

  • arent whales dolphins??

  • ye, their part of the dolphin family

  • killers whales are dolphins. Other whales are not

  • incredibal and very dangerous camera work.

  • i think i saw this one on tv once. they killers only ate the lower jaw of the calf and let the rest of the carcass fall to the ocean floor, only to be nibbled at by bottom-feeders. a long but VERY interesting show.

  • cage*

  • The only place in the world the only living thing you can never judge.

Specialy not call stupied or cruel.

    Is the animel world.

We humans sometimes know no mersy we don't know when to stop.

These killer whales do this for food.

It's just like us raising chickens in a 30 inch on 30inch cave so that could eat there eggs and then them themselfs.

    the animals are not cruel.

    WE ARE.

If I could have one wish. I'd wish for the intire human race to extinguish

  • you can't spell "stupid", "mercy", "entire" or "animal" but you can spell "extinguish"? you're a mystery to me.

  • My spelling sucks but you got the point.

Animals are amazing, And deffently do not deserve to be treated like the way they are.

  • if not human then just the next intelligent species on earth.

I think is no coincidence that the whales doing the smart stuff at the zoo, are predators in nature.

  • the killer whales need to eat thats life but the way they did that was smart and cruel at the same time

  • cruel? they know no such thing, you cant judge a whale you fuckin idiot, only us shaved apes can judge each other.

  • dont talk to me i can say what ever i like

  • The killer whales didn't do that for food.

  • Well actually they did. Killer whales do eat whales etc. Even great white sharks.

  • Yup, Orcas are very dangerous predators. Funnily, they are almost harmless to humans (their size makes them more dangerous than their teeth or predatory behaviour..they don't as a rule attack humans) It's not strange for one type of animal to eat another of the same type. Plenty of birds eat other birds, sharks eat other fish... etc

  • No. they actually did it for the fun of it, in the longer version the orcas dont eat it the just remove the babies jaw and leave the carcass alone,

  • that was so horrible to watch...

  • shit happens.

  • that was not monterey bay cuz the water there is shit.

  • Killers like sushi, too! But where's the rice?

  • free whillie gone wild

  • lmao

  • Wahhh!!!!

  • How cruel!

  • nooooooooooo
