  • This is some weird shit...

  • Videos on youtube, are usually for the new. People who didn't know but would like to, or want to know. But think that it requires a large amount of studying. I am a firm believer in video as being the guide to the next generation. It's just that they also need people to answer their questions in the most realistic fashion. Being truthful with yourself and with the information you are giving can sometimes put your mind in harmony.

  • NICE...

  • DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... I don't get it.

  • oh, how bad I miss Dr. Sagan!

  • man this is awesome, does somebody knows the name of the song thats playing at 05:47?

  • EPIC

  • This narrator borrows dialog style from "The Meatrix's" and Mr. Smith from The Matrix. He then changes it a few more times... he changes his narrator speech style like 6 times or more.

  • Amazing. I enjoyed the whole thing.

  • narrator's so dramatic

  • Very artsy... the way I see, Space travel and colonizing will began when and if we find something on another planet which is worth the expense of collecting and sending back to earth. I really can't wait until that happens

  • geniussssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • @lebkha this is just a vdio

  • MUCH

    MORE

    THAN

    ONCE

    A

    DAY

  • What's the title of the first song?

  • According to the credits, the music was given rise by an individual known as "Andre Gribou", but lengthy research has proven this individual's music quite elusive. Any assistance to my noble endeavor would be most appreciated. I'm sure we could work out some sort of...arrangement.

  • Forgive me for intruding upon your philosophical frivolities, but I must inquire as to the origin of the music employed in this film. I simply must have it! Every last piece! You see, I have witnessed several prior inquisitions of musical origin that have yet to receive adequate answers. And so I come to the table (if you will) humbly requesting that any persons with knowledge of said musical pieces post them here, so that I may extract their delicate innards and store them for later usage.

  • Bah this video touches every major topic for like 10 seconds but teaches you nothing new unless you're... well, new.

  • @ FreeTheGhetto Religion is important to a lot of people but has no relevance to this video or anything to do with this, why bother mentioning it?

  • at the beginning where the female voice names the planets and moons - what song is that? please let me know or is there a seperate video where I can download that sequence, it's so awesome... io... titan.... mimas.. I had goosebumps

  • @LonexX18 Tell me about it! I rarely use the term, but the flashing maps of moons and planets was truly epic.

  • i love you spacerip

  • beautiful video... just... inspiring!

  • Interesting video. Not too crazy about the style, though. I honestly thought it was a spoof of some kind, at first. Space and the universe are awe-inspiring and magnificient enough, I don't feel that they/it needs to be glitzed and glammed up with some over the top, pseudo-artsy style of filming. To each their own, I guess. That's all.

  • Nice video, but as a whole it is a bit unpleasant to watch with all these repeated swirling images, overly compressed voice and too loud and not very appropriate background music?!

  • This guy sounds a little like Shatner!

  • With tears running from my eyes...

I witnessed the most EPIC video from spacerip.

    Thank you.

  • SpaceRip has the best collection of videos on the internet.

  • its so inspiriting

  • Save your own planet! Forget about planets elsewhere.

  • its funny

how computer generated graphics + a hallucinating voice

intrigued me, making me wanting to watch more and more and mo......

  • perfect video

  • excellent video

  • Religion is important in peoples' lives.

  • Comment removed

  • @jedurkee

Did I say they were good figures? I'm not talking about extremists or people that use religion to justify their terrible actions, defeating the purpose or taking it out of context. True religion is healthy for the human race.

  • @FreeTheGhetto ehm... not.

  • @RavnoUK

    Why not?

  • @FreeTheGhetto becuase A. religions basically separate us instead of unificate us... sooo welll that not "cool".. any way this is not the place for religion.. is a science video and religion doesnt fit here.

  • @RavnoUK

The misinterpretations of religion is what separates people. Religions in their true form do unite people.

  • @RavnoUK

I love science and I understand it well. But religion does have a place in science.

  • @dimachernyshev

    true

  • @dimachernyshev Yes it does have a place in science, by showing people how NOT to approach a mystery.

  • the female O.S voice is sexy.

  • If Anyone Is into Astronomy or outer Space Ect please check out my channel its a bit new but im hoping 2 be conapred 2 the great SpaceRip soon if u like my first videos please Subscribe!! i will be udating every week My first video takes you on a journey from Earth to the edge of the cosmos taking u from planets to Supernaovas to black holes and Stars pleas watch and thank you

  • Great video SpaceRip, I honestly don't know why more people aren't viewing this. You create great masterpiece videos. I'm sure one day your videos will become mainstream news. Keep up the good work.

  • Doeas anyone know where can I get the soundtrack? It's amazing!

  • Bring back the old narrator.

  • Thank you so much for keep posting new videos, I truly enjoy watching them at work discreetly! :)

  • I throughly enjoyed this.

  • Another great video! Keep going. :)

  • This is really some great stuff, I always watch these and this one even seemed better.

Thank you for putting these on you tube for the masses to watch and imagine.

  • Love it.

"Seek the wisdom to ask the right questions." =)

  • i hate this type of teaching just tell me the real facts and science not with fruit.

  • @JustnCas3 while i agree with you, not everyone thinks the same, so go watch something thats more your speed instead of insulting this work..

  • @Diggzist So a random nothingness has more creativity than God. You barely scratch the surface of this masterpiece called creation, but you are better than God. To bolstor your point, Yale recently changed the definition of science; it no longer is based on objective reason, especially concerning origins. As the video said; "We see what we want to see". Born and bred in naturalistic explainations, you have rejected God without a reason, without proof, and CERTAINLY without science. Just some lie

  • @fastonfeat "without proof" then I ask you, can you prove god? And can I also ask you where did god came from and how was he created? How come there are so many diffrent types of religions and gods and every religion claims theirs is the right one?

  • @idol0mantis, I like to think of religion as a memetic parasite. Though we can condemn it for its horrendous impact, we must also acknowledge that this process is the basis of everything robust and wonderful about our world: the struggle to outwit, or conquer the challenges of environments. Our minds are obviously very young in evolutionary terms. Religion, if used properly, really does harm its victims. But the high price individuals pay eventually buys a higher fitness for humanity itself.

  • @idol0mantis 'ex nihilo', or rather He would have to exist outside of space and time. If time does not exist for Him, He has existed forever. Certain other clues begin to discount false religions. He seems to actually care for humanity on some level, considering the chances for life are slim--much slimmer than many would say, or desire to say. In other words, He is uncreated. Numerous religions may just be people who see Him in nature trying to reach Him. Unfortunately, most are completely false

  • @fastonfeat Interesting. he is uncreated? is that all? That's impossible. Everything is created at some point. besides, do you have any proof at all to back your theory up?

  • @idol0mantis Stephen Hawking: "...If the rate of expansion one second after the Big Bang had been smaller by even one part in a hundred thousand million million, the Universe would have recollapsed before it ever reached its present state."-(A Brief History of Time-From the Big Bang to Black Holes). John O'Keefe(NASA astronomer): "We are, by astronomical standards, a pampered, cosseted, cherished group of creatures..."-(F. Heeren, Show Me God).

  • @fastonfeat "You have rejected God without a reason"? And you have accepted God by the exact same route, a belief in God and a belief in no God are the exact same thing. But to accept that there is a possibility that both may be correct is the path to wisdom. Once you accept that you may be wrong you become a student of truth, and the truth is that humans know nothing except what we tell ourselves and what we tell each other, the stories hung on observation, the lies that make up life.

  • @Thedeadhenrys I have examined both and chosen one. To paraphrase, do you think that I both did and did not get up this morning? That I both did and did not eat breakfast? Or do you say truth=ignorence=observation=lies? I.e. truth=lies? Are you confused? Do you need help? Do you even think that way anymore? You sound like you question our existence. Be careful with an open mind: you may find yourself believing something that is not true. You cannot accept both yes and no.

  • @fastonfeat You may or may not have had breakfast, but I know I did. I do not believe ANYTHING, I have ideas in flux. Beliefs are dangerous in that they willingly court ignorance- a belief is harder to change than an idea. You cannot accept both yes and no, but you can accept that both may be wrong, so choose one, live by one and always be prepared to change your mind. I don't live by Gods word as he sounds like an evil despot if you read the bible. I choose empathy to help me be a good person.

  • @fastonfeat Belief in god and belief in no god are exactly the same- a belief. You could say "I cannot prove God doesn't exist therefore he exists" or you could say "I cannot prove God does exist therefore he doesn't exist" and both ways are leaps of faith- belief in a story. My theories on human understanding are a bit complex for a Youtube comment, so let's just say your perspective and my perspective don't sit comfortably together. God is too simple a concept- a kids story.

  • The pretty pictures intrigued me. You did well you capture the attention of a teenager who normally objects anything educational. ;)

  • wow 13 minutes of pure beauty thanks for activate my imagiation :)

  • Cool!

  • Great video. Only your for got to mention where the concepts of gods and aliens come from. Humans too are a product of the earth. I laugh when some of use say we were put here. But then again the earth creates the division in thoughts and beliefs for it's own reasons. Long before we got here it has making crude oil and giving clues on how to build vehicles. wonder no more

  • Very artistic and dramatic I'm pleased that quantum was not mangled here.

  • I like it but it is too flowery

  • Beautifully done

  • Quite different from the usual space video.

Worth watching several times at least.

    Thanks for posting ti.

  • you failed to say anything about Jupiter and being that it's my favorite planet you fail.

  • Lol. this video made me remember to charge my phone. 8:13

  • this is a wonderful vid.

  • Lool Africa didn't have much light point at all.. :O

  • It was really pretty. Creative and well done!

  • 9 people missed the thumbs up button... :(

  • It's Beautiful, It's an absolutely wonderful video, that's why I subscribed for, thanks...

  • OOOOooooohhhhh... - -

    O O o

*falls into metaphoric and music enhanced trance... cue involuntary dribbling*

  • Thumbs down for subliminal climate propaganda and non scientific approach.

  • random..... -_-

  • I liked this video it was relaxing and enjoyable.

  • Wow, I really enjoyed....everything about this video, especially the music! Great vid!

  • satellites, ah yes, they can see our every move, the *ucking freaks. if they can see with telescopes deep in space, imagine how well they can have resolution down here on earth, tha *astards.

  • unique and interesting interpretations in this video

    i enjoyed it

  • Exclusively boring video for this channel.

  • damn i like this kind of presenting universe and us.

  • this is an acid trip!

  • This video best watched on acid.

  • I didn't enjoy the "poetic approach" as much as I did the other videos on your channel. I can't say that it was bad, nor could I say that most people won't like it, it just wasn't my cup of tea. Thanks for another upload though, I look forward to more in the future.

  • sun = god :)

  • @sebastiansz - As far as our life on Earth, yes indeed!

  • Nice- I found the artistic aproach a little uncomfortable in a scientific documentry at first, but it grew on me, wouldnt like it to be the norm but deffinatly an enjoyable neash for it. Kinda like Blue planit mixing with space and poetry

  • Beautifully done. It really catches the feeling of what we really are as human beings - Animals with the power to make a philosophy real.

  • Hypnotic! Great voice guy.

  • So why do Planets, etc spin?

  • ...is this real life?

  • @darkstar744 Yes.

  • I like it - thought provoking

  • Is it just me or is this video actually rather poetic somehow?

  • I'm trippin' balls.

  • @antjam666 lol ;)

  • I mbated to this video.

  • Wow...watching this while trippin' would be pretty cool I think.

  • wow....thats all i have to say

  • More than anything, I want the answers to the 3 big questions.

  • @mrskellington33 the answer is 42

  • @blueghist

actually you'd be surprised to know that Mars is the least dense of the inner planets, however it is also smaller and less massive than earth and therefore its pressure elevates rock far higher than it's possible on earth

  • amazing stuff

  • Amazing! But sounds kind of preachy.

  • this guy sounds like microsoft sam

  • stop making music louder than narrator.

  • wow that was really awesome =D

  • Superb and well done!

  • Thanks a lot. Sois en verdad, una poderosa fuente de inspiracíón. Mila ezker. Love SpaceRip.

  • Excellent work.

  • So... Beautiful...

  • @SpaceRip how much time do you spend on the graphics of your videos(3d videos) ??

  • Nice panoramic bullshit this video had...

  • Narrator must die.

  • Nicely done.

  • Kinda psychedelically pretty @ times. BUT, it try's to make the point of representing data as useful information that expands our understanding of something & doesn't itself.

  • Quite unique... an artistic/poetic interpretation and presentation of bits of cosmology. Very interesting, entertaining and mind-shifting.

  • @BigMTBrain: Wasn't it Dr. Sagan who said something to the effect that "The universe can provide all the wonder and beauty our minds can ever imagine and more. No deity is required for this. Simple existance is enough." - this is a perfect example.

  • @FreeTheGhetto Judging by your name, i can see that you arn't meant to be here. gtfo and go watch some rap videos if you dont like this.

  • @SwizzYtp

What a clever deduction. I actually mainly listen to blues and soul music.

  • The Producers of this vid: "ok, ok - This is one of our ‘fund raiser’ videos guys, so no big words, no fancy accurate scientific concepts, use only abstract artsy fartsy analogies! Remember, our target audience has the attention span of a gnat and the combined IQ of a grapefruit! Now, let’s all do the money chant...."

  • @AlphaNemesis

"i'll draw up the pentagram so we can summon the spirit of marketing and visual animation... you put on the yoga meditation cd, track 9. lets go people, we've got zombies to hypnotise..."

  • @noregrets92

LOL! Ahhhh, producers - gotta love em!

  • @AlphaNemesis Yeah, I see it as being particularly effective to people who respond with "Oh, shit, I guess they are right. I should pay more attention to that science stuff." or something. Realistically, it has to be sensationalist to attract (or even be communicable) to those whose greatest--and (unfortunately) sometimes only--influence is emotion.

  • @svartiske

True, but not necessarily a bad thing right? You do what you have to in order to communicate your message. I really enjoy these vids (less so with the 'dumb-downed' ones), they are clear, well laid out, imaginative and well executed with great graphics...although the animated people are a bit scary - lol.

  • @AlphaNemesis Definitely a good thing, for sure.

  • @AlphaNemesis

    hahahahaha

    Good vid, nonetheless

  • @FreeTheGhetto Maybe because you aren't a science fanatic just like we are, we love the universe, science and everything about them cause most people do, if you don't like it do what I do when I find something that I don't like, no comments and walk away, thanks...

  • @WICKEDMAN9MM HELL YA

  • @STARCO1231 You got that right!!!

  • @WICKEDMAN9MM He just can't comprehend the amazing unknown vastness of the universe. Some people simply prefer watching the nightly World's Wildest police chases or something as similar and "amusing" rather than open their minds to something so humbling and interesting.

  • @blackknight509 Yes indeed, I totally agree with you, thanks for message...

  • @FreeTheGhetto

Why the fuck are you asking us?

  • @FreeTheGhetto Because knowledge can *cough* "freetheghetto"? This vid bored the shit out of me too, but boredom to me does not mean unuseful for others. This channel subscription is 90% awesome imho. I learn a shit ton.

  • @Thulgore

I didn't say that this space stuff isn't cool, I just asked myself why I was subscribed to a channel about space.

  • Not all the energy on earth comes from the sun. thats blatantly wrong. geothermal, nuclear. Come on how is that allowed to pass. ridiulous

  • @gregcro55 i think they more so mean all those things are possiable due to the sun, and our planet exists due to the suns make up and gravity, and no sun = no humans = no nuclear power

  • @satan31337 Actually, one of the main factors for the existence of life on Earth is the Sun. It literally creates and powers life, without it there would be no life here. When people worship "god", they're really worshiping the Sun, like the ancient Egyptians did and many others.

Although, when the narrator says that all energy on Earth comes from the Sun, he isn't speaking the truth, since Earth can generate it's own energy.

  • @PeterD2S Isn't the earth, in creating its own energy, just releasing energy that was stored from the sun? It's not like the earth can create perpetual energy.

    OR CAN IT.

  • @PeterD2S

Ah, but what gave the Earth its energy in the first place?

  • @rocksage2

The Sun gives Earth its energy. If you mean rotational energy then it is given by the sun too.

  • @rocksage2 Pancakes.

  • @satan31337 Your comment needs to be addressed in two parts. firstly, you are artificially adding a clarifying explanation that is neither conveyed or intended. They say “All energy on the Earth comes from the sun.” And nothing in the context could possibly make that statement mean what you are saying it does. Secondly just from a Physics standpoint your statement is incorrect. Even if the earth were ejected from the galaxy and was floating in relatively empty space it would still contain energy

  • @satan31337 Not only would it still contain energy it would emit energy into the void of space. The majority of the vast amounts of thermal energy stored and created inside the earth is simply the product of the vast amount of pressure created by the enormous mass of the earth and the force of gravity. This intense pressure creates intense heat. Heat = energy. therefore “All energy on the Earth comes from the sun.” = false. Also as far as nuclear energy.....

  • @satan31337 radioactive isotopes were created during the intense element creation that happens during a nova or super nova. Once these radioactive isotopes are created they slowly convert the mass into energy over time. e=mc^2, get it. So even if there were no sun and no humans, radioactive isotopes of uranium and the lioke would still be radiating energy on earth. Therefore, “All energy on the Earth comes from the sun.” = false. Get it?

  • @gregcro55 The only source of energy arriving on Earth that isn't totally negligible, is the Sun. Some totally negligible amount of energy reaches us from other distant stars, or stray chunks of rock/ice falling to Earth.

All the energy the Earth was imparted with at its creation came from the gravitational collapse of a nebula that marked the birth of our solar system. All the energy that has reached it ever since is the energy the sun bathes us in, produced in the fusion furnace at its core.

  • Am I the only one here that thinks that the makers of this video were high when they made this? It seems to convey the concepts in an interesting way unlike most other documentaries I've seen, as if trying to add an artistic aspect to it.... I like it.

  • I love this, it's almost like a scientific poem.

  • Interesting.

  • One of my favorite youtube channels.

  • Great Job! Keep 'em up!

  • I nearly forgot I was watching this, I was mesmerized! 13 minutes went by like 13 seconds! I love these videos!

  • i wish more people thought about it like this...
