  • While not all of these strafes were 'great', I did enjoy seeing STRAFES from first person. You have a really good technique! The last one impressed me the most. It's one I tend to frequently miss in baseQ3. Many of the other jumps were cool! Nicely done. Very refreshing to see!!

  • I have to say, there were some nice jumps in there, and you are pretty good,...but honestly dude i can see where those other guys are coming from. A lot of the stuff that you did in there was either really easy, useless, or not even strafe jumping. Especially the ones on the space maps, i do those without even trying lol. Nice vid though.

  • I'll take this as a compliment, all done in standard vq3. It may seem faster since the view is narrowed resolution to make it smaller in size.

    Only takes two jumps to get 600+ if I recall correctly. I made this video a long time ago before Quake 4 when defrag was a bit more popular. I wish I had a video to watch like this back then to help see which gaps are actually possible on vq3.

  • They are the largest gaps to jump across? youre not looking hard enough

  • It depends by what means. Largest possible by 1-3 hops. Of course not with other means. I am more the physical strafing and other hop techniques rather than rocket jumping and so forth.

    Of course you could make a custom map with larger gaps, but this is OSP and standard maps.

    Basically the OSP one on VQ3 can only be done with 1/2% ups discrepency.

    I mainly do tricks on the hl engine, like on NS. I had no doubt I would get posts like this.

  • Normal physics and settings? You have no self-damage which is not default settings and looks like your not that skilled anyway... When I first played Quake3 and got into OSP... Within a week of playing this was more than easy... Go and watch some real skill like with TeamEventHorizon... Enough said, stop posting garbage, no offence.

  • Of course no damage. That is a given, or else you would die.

    This is not a time trial clip. It's just the largest OSP and Vanila Map gaps being taken. You can't do it any better, you either make them or you don't.

    It's only one of many videos. You warm my heart. Feel free to post making the same jumps in vq3 mode and no time slowing.
