This is chillingly and hauntingly beautiful! One of the most incredible scores and musical pieces ever sung and filmed. The movie is awesome! But it's the way that Noel sings it, like a small child with wonder in his eyes trying to make sense of an ever-changing world, that will never be duplicated! The pacing and signing in this sequence may be one of the most emotional movie experiences of a lifetime.
And remember the fact that Pablo created these sequences on 35mm film, requiring color and density grading along with the exact placement of each frame in the mat. If the camera man makes one mistake in shooting or exposure, the whole sequence must be shot over. Pablo still animates to this day. his art can be found at artbyPabloferro
@predlycon Too fast for whom? He sings the song this quickly because Michel Legrand directed him to and wrote it that way, because the song is supposed to be free-form and breathless as is Legrand's orchestration, because it specifically timed to the rapidly-changing images on the screen, because it's about fleeting, evanescent things.
Loved your clips from this great film. I have tried for years to get the music that is so haunting, its the music score at the end where t. Crown is leaving on the plane. You see one tear going down his cheek as vicki is reading his last note. If anyone could possibly know who did the orriginal score I really would appreciate it thanks so much!!!!!
@asieh100 The great Michel Legrand did the score. You can enjoy more of his music in herem just type his name in the seach engine, They have plenty of videos of Mr. Legrand.
Thank you for posting this. Now, a little project for you, would you please, Please, PLEASE post the scene where Thomas Crown sneaks out of his house at night. He walks around the back of his house and knocks out the detective who is watching him, places him in his car douses him with alcohol and lets off the handbrake, causing the car to roll down the street and into a tree... The music in that scene is much better than the music that is on the Soundtrack CD that I own!!! Thank you!! :O)
Thank you.

I always wonder why Noel Harrison sings this song too fast. It's not like the orchestra is hurrying him up or anything.

@predlycon I prefer Harrison's take to Sting's too laid-back version in the remake.
