I live in Michigan, and my school has adopted a "screw snow" policy, apparently. Even if there's ice on the roads, as long as the buses can make it to the school, it's not closed. It seems no matter how much snow we have, my school is the only one in the area that isn't closed.
I live in colorado (USA) and if its below 10 we dont have school or they start an hour later. And right now its really snowing and I dont want to have school.
well i'm from canada, toronto and surprisely it hasnt snow alot this year. whitch isn't a good thing considering the olympics is gunna be here :) well not here, vancouver... but still :)
yes my school shut last lesson 10 minutes in. Every other school went home at 10 or 11 my school has the best exam results in my area so they say learning comes first.
I remember 1979 when I had to get the bus 16 miles to work and we still got through despite 3ft of snow. When the council ran out of grit/salt, the sent guys out with shovels. Even the army got involved in clearing the snow and digging out sheep. The schools, along with most other places, remained open throughout. So, I'm amazed that Britain today grinds to a halt when we get just a couple of inches.
Well the whether for cast said we may get ip to 10 or 12 inches of snow, when when it ices over it will be a suicide mission in a car and just plain dangerous on foot
Well, I'm not German, I am Slovak. But you are right, when I was growing up, we never got off because of snow. There is just too much snow in Slovakia for that.
When we do get it England looks so beautiful in the snow :)

my school never closes because of the weather. but if it ever did, it'd be because the weather is just too warm.
yeah, i'm australian. our weather is just ridiculous.
it is currently midnight and i am sitting here in a singlet and a pair shorts, with the fan on.
i think today got to around 36 degrees celcius or something ridiculous like that.
i really, really, REALLY hate our summer. i'd take your snow days any day :)

This is England? Not New England, right?
OK, I take it all back. I concede: you have snow. That was as pretty a postcard as anything I've seen there near the end.
The irony? It's colder here in the American South than it is there; by a lot!
