I have played a LOT of early videogames, but "Solar Sailer" is still a benchmark against which others must compete. It is painfully unfun. It is less fun than Word 1.0. It is less fun than the BSOD. It is even less fun than "Maze-A-Tron". How could "Deadly Discs" be so perfect while the rest of that franchise was wasted like a napkin at KFC?

Tron Solar Sailer . . . I can't really comment on, as I never played this, and it can't be found on Intellivision Lives! for copyright reasons. One thing I can say is that the Video Game Critic sure doesn't like it.

Bomb Squad is a hard game to comprehend, at first. The voice tells you to either "replace" or "cut" a broken part "first", "second", "third", etc. When he says "replace", you put in a piece that is similar in shape or color. "Cut" means to replace a part with the flat gray part.

Amazing. I got all this games but not the Intellivoice system. It's exiting to see these games working on Intellivoice!!. I have Major League Baseball which I understand it's compatible too, do you have it? Can you show us? Thanks!!

Apparently the enhancements for the baseball require the Intellivoice AND the ECS (computer add on) module, I don't have the ECS or the game, sorry...........

it's a shame Mattel didn't release enough Intellivoice games. i read about a number of other games that were planned, such as a Woody Woodpecker one, but i think one reason those games were canceled was because of poor sales, especially due to the crash of 1983.

I love the way some early games just drop you straight in at the deep end with absolutely no clue of what to do, unless you've read the phone box size instruction manual and memorized everything :D

You said you never use emulation, have you ever been tempted to mod your systems to take AV or S-Video leads? All machines with RF can display AV, it's just a case of some soldering. I've got a Famicom with modded AV ports, and just bought a Master System with one too. Just a lot less of a pain.

I am aware of the AV modding. Sure I would love it on all my systems, it's just not a priority right now, time is my main issue, remeber it took me a couple months to follow up the original Intellivoice video! As long as I do have a way to record the output direct it that is good enough for me even if it is RF LOL!
