dude i have a valve Marshall MA100h ...it have a booster...so i can have a pretty nice heavy metal/ almost thrash distorsion but i need some extra to have that killer palmute sound that im looking for.... if i combine that with a TS-9 i be able to get that thrash metal tone that im looking for ?
I dont want to buy a distorsion pedal. ( i was thinking in a metal muff nano )..but..i feel that its not right with a marshall head...
I like to put a Demeter Compulator optical compression pedal in front of the tube screamer. It's like magical tone juice. Everything sounds great, and somehow, feels better.

you're right on with your "setting your amps at 12 oclock as the starting point". I set every amp, usually, the same. Bass 12, mid-9, treble 12, presence 12.
I love your videos and all. theyre super helpful! the only gripe i have is the sound and video quality. broskii get yourself a better camera and i will smile more when i see your vids! :D
I just purchased an Ibanez tube screamer and it produces some nasty feedback on my vox ad50vt-xl on the dirty channels and I was wondering if the Boss NS-2 would cure this feedback issue or does that only get rid of static from the amp? Thanks
Quick question Mizike!!!! i'm about to buy an Overdrive pedal, but i'm not sure what to choose i'm looking for a fat sound, Petrucci oriented, but my options to buy are, A TS9 or Zakk wylde Overdrive pedal or a Marshall BluesBreaker2 pedal. Which one would you recommend me?
hey what are your settings on the ts-9? and i have the mxr gt-od, would it be better to run it before the pre amp or in the fx loop? great vid btw, sick gear!
thanks bro helped alot i have a peavey valve king and its good for heavy rock but im into heaver stuff like metalcore and hopefully it will give it the boost it needs.

How would this sound with my Vox Pathfinder 15/15R.. Its has more of a vintage hard rock sound when i turn the gain up and i got a Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal which isnt doin the trick for me it(its not a "heavymetal"" enough sound uno) ...just let me know thanks
ok, i have pretty decent distortion for rythme stuff, but i was looking for something to improve the tone of my lead stuff. would this pedal be good to add on for metal solos and all?
setting an overdrive pedal as a boost (distortion really low, volume really high) can it be used to tighten up the sound? like a Mesa dual rectifier for example. they have a really loose sounding distortion. if you would put this pedal infront of it would it tighten up the sound?
I use an emg h4, a boss me-50, and a vox hybrid amp. im thinking about getting this to give me a really good bullet for my valentine sound. will this help? also what do you suggest for getting rid of a bit of hum? thanks alot!
I have searched, and searched... AND searched.... and I've finally found someone who knows how to explain and help other guitarists find the gear that suits them. Thank you bro! You have a new subscriber!!
Hey Mizike, is that the Boss NS-1 at the beginning of your pedal setup? And is that the oversize cab you're playing through? Re Tube Screamer: I'll usually turn the drive all the way down and the tone to 6-ish, works well for death metal @ Bb. :)
i have a peavey valve king and i want alot of gain if i turn on distortion and then turn on a tube screamer will i get a lot of feedback because i do not want feedback.
hey bro im rockin a spider 3 amp but its not a crisp heavy metal sound im lookin for i have to go to a tube amp right? i tried to metal core pedal not doin it whats a good tube amp for me around a grand or what should i do thank man for the help

Good review! I've seen the tube screamer used 2 ways 1)some people just love the tone and make it a part of their "sound" ie set it and leave it on or 2)others use it to kick their amp up a little bit when it comes time for their solo- find the setting they want, turn the screamer on for solo, turn the screamer off when solo is done.
Nice demo of what it can sound like! Love that Dean.
Great info man,,thanks

I have 3 channels, 3rd has the most distortion, 1st two don't have enough for my taste, so i have 1 clean 1 distortion, and i need something for boost for solos, i cant6 hear the difference with sd boss overdrive, and i see hammett uses ts9 for boost and he has mesa amp
