I always liked this episode because it feels very much like a "Twilight Zone" story, both in the time-travel element and how it just happens - one minute our hero wanders into the past, the next he's back in his own time. I always like those horror/fantasy stories where the writer unabashedly says, "This is what happens, there is no logical explanation, just go with it."
