That looks like Tex Williams, I remember when Joaquin Murphey was with Spade Cooley and of course Bob Wills fit in with Spade Cooley indirectly. I still a lot of Spade Cooley's record, great memories.
@ATSF1927 It was Tex Williams! This would be a great clip to post complete. Tex, Joaquin Murphy, Duece Spriggins and Pedro DePaul were part of Cooley's band and were all fired by Cooley in on one fell swoop. They stayed with Tex and helped him form the Western Caravan.
Man, that guy was the greatest. I'd never heard of him when I happened to see him siting in with Vassar Clement's band in LA once in the late 70s. I never heard a guy play jazz like that on the steel guitar, really soulful.
