We get a lot of those out here in the Mojave desert.What you should really check out sometime are the desert monsoons we get.I've gotten caught in ones that were so insane that all of the cars and trucks on the highway were stopped dead in their tracks and could not move because the rain was so heavy that it almost felt like it would destroy your car.

Come to New Mexico and I'll show you some Dust Devils.

I hit one going about 75mph on Hiway 70 and it nearly knocked my truck off the road.

I stood and let one hit me once and it filled my pockets with 1/4 inch pebbles.

Thank goodness I closed my eyes right before it hit me.

I sat for about 20 minutes on the Mesa east of Las Cruces and counted 20 or more.

Some of them were HUGE.

That happens all day long in the Summer.
