I was at the concert and the reason why the pit alone is "mellow" is because of the railing. You cannot see it but there was this little railing that barely came up to my knees and over the side was a good 5 feet and then the cold wooden floor. So if people started pushing and shoving and moshing, then a good majority of us would have fallen, hit our heads and be unable to comment on your comments ....I was one of those who almost did. I was luckily caught by a security guard...So that is why.
