  • I just made a crazy discovery. This track sounds llike it was stolen from an 80's song from

Pesuedo Echo called 'In Their Time' once the actual beat kicks in you'll notice

that they sound VERY alike, while JTS's is slightly more faster paced. :O

  • Wait, this is NES? Apart from the fact that the actual melody is awesome, the quality is awesome. This is something I'd expect on SNES, and even then, I'd be pretty impressed.

  • @masterplusmargarita Developers really did some impressive with the NES in the early 90's such as Kirby's Adventure.

  • Thank you for uploading the original piece, unlike the other techno remixed shit everyone else uploads.

  • Journey to Silus looks like such a bogus game. But i would play it for the soundtrack.

  • If this music put on Terminator game, this might be a best music in a game on license, not a best game ever.

    Music is greatness.

  • Good thing Journey to Silius was a great game, but I think it would have been better if it kept the Terminator license, maybe then we wouldnt have the shitty LJN Terminator 2 games or the shitty Mindscape Terminator 1 game that oddly came out AFTERWARDS.

  • Would you believe this awesome music and the game it is from were originally intended to be a licensed game based on the first Terminator Movie? I can't help but think of Schwarzenegger 's iconic movie poster when I hear this.

And then think, "This is so his style."

  • Thats some kick ass boz art :D

  • It sounds like the music from Batman on the NES... oh, wait, it's also SUNSOFT. Good lord, did they know how to make fucking 8-bit masterpieces...

  • Whoever put a dislike on this song is a ****, freakin awesome song, thanks for all the uploads Supradarky!

  • this game is great, although very hard

  • Best song in the game.

  • Journey to silius is an awesome game :DD love the soundtrack and thats 1 of the reasons that i still play that game on my nes xD

  • naoki kodaka is the best nes composer ever and journey to silius is hands down his best work. easily one of my favorite soundtracks ever and this is one of the best tracks from the game

  • Sounds a lot like Batman: Return of the Joker (stage 1). Coincidence? I don't think so!

  • This soundtrack is amazing, and the tittle screen music is just out of this world, and it sounds even better when you play the actual game on a Nintendo, everytime I play this game I just set the controller down and listen to the music for a few minutes before I start playing..yes it's that good, seems like developers put a lot more effort when hardware had limitations and went above and beyond to produce music with such high quality, the entire Sunsoft game library has outstanding soundtracks.

  • @leydeplomo I subscribe to that. Amen!

  • *listens to song*

    O_O

I'm in love. I'm a fan of chiptunes, yet I never learned of this until now!?

Thanks for the amazing post, SD.

  • @Ghalheart Master Blaster, Batman(NES) and Journey to Silius Sountrack.

    Happy listening.

  • wow, never knew of this one. Really great song O__O

  • Journey to Silius' music was way ahead of its time, in terms of quality and style. Amazing music.

  • digital strings ftw

  • I'm super Silius right now, this music is awesome.

  • NAOKI KODAKA, BITCHES!

  • Wow!

amazing theme fir stage 3 :)

remember came to that place, when the music just started ^^

  • Sunsoft games used to have amazing soundtracks

  • SUPER!

If there was ever a 'Top Ten Video Game Soundtracks from Games No One Knew'; this definitely has to be included!

  • @shenloken2 It comes in my top ten for games, period. Naoki Kodaka makes that soundchip sing.

  • Another awesome JTS theme.

Sunsoft really made some awesome soundtracks, especially for this game.

  • Reminds me a bit of Return of the Joker. A LOT.

  • Fucking legendary! This would sound so awesome in a heavy metal version!!!

  • I'd risk my life on an epic journey if it came with music like this.

  • @Sephiko

    me too =]

  • @Sephiko

"Journey to Silius" would definitely be in my Top 3 C=

  • seems like final stage music

  • Definitely sounds classic.

  • HAHA!

I knew you would take this up Supra :D

    THANK YOU!

  • Hey...I have the exact same VGM on my Best VGM list! Coincidence?

  • Ahhhh that sunsoft bass haha.

  • Epic for a NES track :O

  • It's funny that you post this now, because the AVGN most recently did a video on this game... seems pretty suspicious actually.

  • I only watch the main AVGN entries (which usually cover bad games), which reminds me that I still need to see his Swordquest video. But yeah, nothing related with me adding this to my list.

  • he did this game? i cant find it on his account or at gametrailers. BTW the swordquest one is really good.

  • Crap, I was wrong. AVGN wasn't the one who recently did this game, it was LordKat from Until We Win. I guess I mixed them up cause he's done some games featured by AVGN. But still, this game was LordKats most recent game, but I guess that's unrelated to you posting this VGM.

Swordquest one was great. It was more informative, than it was bashing the game. James Rolfe is really good at his research and talking about stuff, you should watch his Monster Madness videos, or his one on Sleepy Hollow.

  • @dx619hey AVGN HVGN LordKat has all have contacts with this game. :P

  • @dx619hey

    No, he didn't...

  • @dx619hey ONE: AVGN never even brought this game up. thats the HVGN

TWO: how the fuck is that suspicious?

  • I haven't even played this game, and I love this song!
