The Honda driver likely could have received a citation had the officer been so inclined. Asshole, the speed limit applies equally to ALL lanes on a highway. There is no such thing as a "speeding" or "fast" lane. It does not matter which lane you are in because speeding is still ILLEGAL. If a cop comes up behind you doing 85 in the left lane and the speed limit is 65, you're still getting a ticket for 20 over the limit. If someone is in the left lane driving the speed limit you have no cause to bitch because you can't legally drive faster than that in ANY lane.
Slower traffic meaning traffic that is not maintaining the speed limit. On some highways vehicles like heavy trucks and buses have a lower speed limit than other traffic that can be 5-10 mph lower so those vehicles should stay in the right lane, but this idea that people have that there is a lane where it is ok to speed is wrong. The police officer who stops you or the judge who hears your case in traffic court isn't going to to let you off because you were in the left lane.

The 2 lanes on the right should be for people who just want to cruise and are happy with the speed of the people in front of them. Leave the 2 left lanes open for people who want to pass. And once you pass somebody, you're supposed to move to the right, if you are done passing. The left lanes should only be used for passing.
If the people driving in the right lanes are already doing the speed limit then you have no right to pass because to do so means that you would have to exceed the speed limit and what is the point of passing someone in the first place if you're only going to move back over in front of them and do the speed limit again?

@thegrizzly52 my girlfriend and i were assaulted and robbed by a bunch of taxi drivers, they threw me in the back of a van after we called them and they let the villains go free. once when i needed an escort home because i was being racially threatened, they said no point blank and i was beaten and put into hospital. my brother was fucked on drugs and tried to cut his wrists in the family home, they said he raised a knife to them and they put him into prison when he needed to be in a hospital.

@romanianskill i don't blame the cops for arresting him he was high on drugs and had knife chances are he did brandish it. i am a criminal justice major I'm not going to lie our justice system is fucked up but don't blame the police who put their lives on the line to protect us from people out there who are doing drugs or threatening the safety of the general public in my experience cops have been fair in their administration of justice

@thegrizzly52 he grabbed the knife from the drawer and tried to cut his own wrist, my other brother subdued him and then the police jumped in and arrested him, that's fine. then they asked me and my family to sign a report which, trusting the police, we nearly didn't read. it said that he tried to attack the officers with the knife, this was a lie, the officers were no way near him and he had a wound on his own wrist, that was his intent, it was blatant, as was the lie the officers told.

Yes you can get pull over for going slow in the left lane. It causes traffic delays which can then turn into a accident or disturbance to the traffic flow. not to mention piss other drivers off. that highway patrol saved that honda civic lol

Im not a traffic cop, but if a traffic violation happens in front of me, of course I initiate a traffic stop. I have no clue why you have a problem with police officers. I am in two training schools for MSP( Michigan State police) and yes that cop tailgated. How is he not alert? He was running plates and RO info but they do that all the time. Me and my trooper do ride along all the time, and we have a dodge hemi charger. That Honda should have never been there. Cop didn't want to write a report so made him move. don't blame him at all. While in most states there is a "Drive right" law, which requires slower moving traffic to drive in the RIGHTmost lane unless overtaking or passing another vehicle, their are also laws against following too closely and aggressive driving, which this entire video shows a police officer guilty of.

To everyone saying this car was going too slow. Please explain to me why they are passing every other car on the road. Why when the cop turns on his lights, they have to slow down and fall behind the mini van as they move over. It is not until the cop gets the car over and they start to slow down, that other cars start to pass them. The cop was being a dick. there is nothing more to it. The cop was breaking the law tail gating. He needs to be reported for this.
