Yes, I do see your point. There are better ways to show opposition. However from watching Ann's videos no one can get through to her even with intelligent arguments. :D I suppose it looks better on the opposing side though. Also, it isn't just that people disagree with her, but that she is spreading hate. While I believe in freedom of speech, I have difficulty accepting the fact that this should include hateful comments about people.
For example, people have the right to say they disagree with homosexuality or same-sex marriage and explain why. Others also have the right to debate this. However calling them faggots and whatnot shouldn't be acceptable.

I find it funny when people say that they make the best drugs and cures, when its well known that is not true. They tend to work on treatments instead of cures to make sure a person must take their drug for long periods, if not the rest of their life. This is all to maximize profit.

I can't stand Ann Coulter either, but I disagree with you that these students were being childish. It's not merely that they were shouting down someone they disagreed with. Ann goes around spreading hatred, and people have the right to stand up against that. If she is allowed to come to universities to spread her hateful lies, then people also have the right to protest.

If they disagree, then set up their own speech and say so. To just stand up and shout down anything you don't agree with IS childish, and in this country regardless of whether her viewpoint is hateful, she has a right to express it. Any solid argument they have against her is lost by the WAY they went about protest. They should have found a more adult intellectual way to go about it. We should never stoop to Ann Coulter's level. :0)

Yes, I do see your point. There are better ways to show opposition. However from watching Ann's videos no one can get through to her even with intelligent arguments. :D I suppose it looks better on the opposing side though. Also, it isn't just that people disagree with her, but that she is spreading hate. While I believe in freedom of speech, I have difficulty accepting the fact that this should include hateful comments about people.
