Actually 'Lemang' is glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk added with salt, filled in a bamboo shaft lined with banana leaves.
Cooked over a burning bed of flaming embers of either wood fire or over a bed of blazing charcoal.
In the Malay kampongs @ villages, we usually use firewood.
It cooks into a cakelike roll of glutinous rice which smells heavenly and is cut into slices and eaten with a beef or chicken dish.
It can also be eaten with flossed chicken or beef which is called 'serunding'.

It seem like they are preparing some kind of food, is it a type of meat, looks like huge kebabs,
is this common , I mean these road-side stalls? and people can just sell prepared food ?
