Nice video!!!! I did a manual focus video test and it came out kinda whitish. Can you check it out please & give some input and tell me what can I do to correct it next time? Thanks
@saeidmomtahan This was shot with the 600D. If you don't know which one to buy, then think about this; 60D has a bigger body, top LCD screen, 5.3 vs 3.7fps, a bit faster AF with all cross type points and a bit bigger viewfinder. If it seems like something you could pay more for, go with it. Quality, colors, videos, sharpness = all the same. I think the 600D will be just good with some great lenses, but it depends on what you plan on shooting.
I also have a guide on my blog if you're confused.
@saeidmomtahan Alright, the 60D will be excellent. There could be a 650D in the next few months, but no 70D (there are no *5D's), because the cycle lasts from 2-3 years, and the 60D has been here for 1 year exactly now. But if you can wait then of course go ahead, maybe prices lower a little bit and you also figure out something new.
Wait wait wait hooooold on here. Is that Ljubljana? I recognize the church and the little boat and the bridge. Aaaanyways, I'm thinking of buying this camera.
@Armixs Of course. It's not really that a 60D would allow you to get better pictures or anything like that, these are DSLRs and they're all great. The longer the lens, the faster your shutter speed will have to be in order to noget star movement - that means raising ISO speeds and opening the aperture. To sum up, it'll be good for everything but don't expect high quality from 75-300mm, just something...average.
@Armixs It's just an example camera that is better. What I meant is that just because you don't have the best, you can still get great quality! No longer lenses have nothing to do with focus and sharpness.
So I guess I have to revisit buying a DSLR or Camcorder. I recently bought a Canon HD Vixia $1000 camcorder but It doesn't produce HD video like the T3i. I love that true film look from this DSLR.
@mystickid1 Yeh, I'm loving it too, high quality, amazing shallow depth of field, cheap compared to others..But really not for tons of long clips, like interviews etc. If you have the time to like wait 10min between every ~2nd 12min clip, then it would be okay, otherwise, big no.
@TheDigitalPhotograph Wow, thanks so much for the great advice. Yeah, the T3i is really tempting for me for its unique strengths. I may just get it Thanks a again :-)
Great Video, Thanks for Sharing! How long can the T3i record in Full HD? I'm thinking of getting the T3i instead of a prosumer camcorder because I'm in love with the HD record quality look and the Lens options...
Will i be able to record hour long interviews in Full HD?
@mystickid1 You can record up to 12min in Full HD and HD, and up to 24min in SD - make sure to get a Class 10 8GB+ card. Btw, I wouldn't really recommend you to use it for recording lots of 12min clips (like 5x12min) because all DSLRs will heat after such a long time.
did you have a problems with grainy video at night? If not, what settings did you have it on to have such a clear picture? Im observing a grainy picture in the darker areas...Excellent video also!
@teeplatinum Well first I have to say, the camera handles noise very well (got a review in desc.). Second, I did some night scenes where noise was horrible, but I believe it was only one out of ~50 clips I took. Night shots you see were taken with ISO 3200 and 6400, aperture around f/5.6 - f/8 (would've made smaller but it was dark) and shutter speed was 1/60. No noise reduction or anything. Thanks!

Was this shot the the standard kit lense that comes with it?

@temptinglimes Yes, the 18-55mm. Youtube degraded the quality a bit, the lens is brilliant for the money!

@TheDigitalPhotograph I did a check list of both, with points, 1-10, given to each feature and its importance to me. 60D won hand down.
But I'm holding off for another couple of months. KNowing Canon they'll probably come out with 65D or 650 D b4 too long.
By the way, really enjoyed your video.

@TheDigitalPhotograph 60D? so longer lenses will be able to focus better on the sky right?
