  • I love your playing,I just wish you had more slow-paced tunes,I love the calmer ones.

  • @Gwynsek Some more interesting song arrangments would be nice. I think she is capable.

  • @JasnoGT She is a fantastic performer and the instrument sounds magical but I just love calm, soothing rhythms. And of course there are many new age, folk pagan-themed or Medieval / Renaissance songs to be played on it (Greensleeves, etc, etc) as well.

I can't think of another word. Just... Wow! Thank you for posting this, and for sharing your wonderful talents.

  • LOVE THAT SMILE !!!!

  • The only thing i hate about this tune is that it's too short !

Just as you get to enjoy the tune it's finished , keep up the good work .

  • I now want to learn how to play one of these! Looks like a lot of fun and has such a sweet sound!

  • I want a Hammered dulcimer in one of my movies!

  • I've heard that elves can make beautiful music that can enhance the listeners creative side and can put people in a trance with each bravura string they pluck into a heavan's song.......are you an elf?

  • Truly beautiful. I love the lower register on this instrument - 0:58 to 1:12 shows it off wonderfully.

Totally enjoyed this , i could imagine this being played on a guitar .

  • I'm impressed, but think it would sound better slower. But then again, its you expressing yourself and not me; it's kind of cool if you want to get down on your hammered dulcimer like that.

  • Gorgeous and impressive. I felt like I was transported back in time with her mystical music. I loved it.

  • 0:01 sik

  • This is very beautiful, but I do wish you would slow down in some places - it's not a race.

  • @sambro89 You clearly haven't understood the music. The title of the piece is River Flow and the varying speed simulates that of a river at various points on its course. The flow of a river is not a constant speed..

  • wonderful :) so peaceful

  • The plume of the heart is so dainty it melts the ice most certainly of ANY giant, and it is remarkable the creatures whom are drawing near the light in all REALMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mercy is most gentile to forgive. I just had no idea WHO would be forgiven and never thought WHAT would be forgiven. I never knew how deep a beating heart could reach and how FAR down it's reaches.

    Selah

  • Oh Gosh. I`ve always thought that spoons are designed for eating. But now I see that you can do with them far more impressive things! Beautiful, that`s all I wanted to say.

  • fuck youtube ad.

  • @TheWesternLariat I love when I have to listen to U.S. President Obama spew his filth and then be enlightened by this wonderful music.

Well, now it is more like an ad for State Farm that I've only seen 1,584 times so far this week.

  • Cool ! 5*****

  • Why, why do I get this picture of playing 'Bejeweled' to this sound?

  • This is beautiful! I never heard this instrument before. I am so happy I found your videos. Beautiful. You make something so hard look flawless.

  • SO beautiful!!!!!!

  • looks hard

  • Beautiful! Congratulations.

  • hi dizzi very good job, very good compositions

  • Dizzi (or anyone else who may know for that matter), could you tell me about the history of this instrument, I've seen it about a few times and it is amazing but I don't know much of its history, other than medieval obviously.

  • @666satanification666 origin Persia (called a santur 12c or earlier) this spread to India (santoor) also to Europe (dulcimer) also it is was the forerunner of the harpsicchord !!!!! (basically they put it in a box with legs and put keys on it which connect to the mallets which hit the strings). i think dizzi is pretty unique in the uk as there are dulcimer players but they are all accompianists not soloists, i think she is a master of the dulicimer and i am certainly buying/purchased

  • I never get tired of this song :)

  • The version you sell on iTunes is modified to echo, do you not offer an unmodified recording? The echoed version is good as well but I'd also like to be able to buy a copy of the regular song.

  • Realmente celestial

  • please can you tell me where is dizzy from? which is her country?

  • @eLv1SiTo england

  • This one is my favorite :-) Do you recommend any other dulcimer artists to listen to other than yourself? I want to get a couple different cds from a couple different artists.

  • Thank you. That was beautiful.

  • you copied this from Persians (Iran) and the instrument is called Santoor/Santour.

  • @kevinatucla

    actually, nope.

It is a similiar european instrument.

"Medieval" in the name means it hasn't changed from about 12 century (right, am I?) so Dizzy couldn't copy it.

Indeed, i know why you post that comment: I am a russian, and i know that a similiar instrument called 'gusli' was popular among Slavs the same age.

But what so ever, nobody cares cause its ain't about the instrument, but about the person playing it.

  • @kevinatucla well if she had a time machine she would !!! the instrument spread from the source of persia to india, rest of middle east, and europe, it also evolved into the harpsichord, ( just put a cabinet around it and attatched keys to the hammers) by your same reasoning you could accuse J S BACH of copying the santur !!!!!!!!!

  • @birdandthe I believe the harpsicord does not have hammers but is plucked.

  • @mike118117 are you joking ?

  • @mike118117 im afraid not matey, its a keyboard, with dampened hammers which strike metallic strings rather like a piano.

  • @birdandthe I beg to differ. The harpsichord has strings which are plucked with plectra which are operated from the keyboard. Other early keyboard instruments such as the virginals were also plucked and not struck.

  • this music make me in a good mood :D

  • That's incredibly beautiful. I'll have to have a peek into your album now.

  • she makes me wanna cry :') really beautiful

  • MAN I love this instrument!! I know I've heard it before, I just didn't know what it was. And certainly never heard it played like this!

  • i love this music. it is just... beautiful... never stop playing! those 8 people are idiots

  • this is medicine to my ears and love for my Heart :D

  • Beautiful :) and the songs not bad either lol

  • Who on earth would click dislike?! They must have missed it, or they are blind. By the way, can anyone else see those flying hammers? I can't.

  • Incredible

  • wow I don't usually like this sort of thing but that was really awesome!

  • You. Are. Amazing.

  • i show this to guitar players and they think its way difficult and i show it to drummers and they think its easy lol

  • Wonderful piece of music. I would love to hear more.

  • Your music moves the very soul,,it has a beautifully postive transforming power !!

Offers hope God Bless You !!!!!!!

  • Wow... This is so beautiful. I always wanted to learn how to play the hammered dulcimer, but I've never had the money to buy one or to learn how to play one..

It's one of the most beautiful instruments in the world.

  • you should see if you can get ahold of the band Blind Guardian and see if you can do a guest appearance in one of their albums. for being a german power metal band. they do alot of folk music, they even dedicated a whole album to Lord of the Rings. i could imagine the song Skalds and Shadows with a hammered dulcimer in it. that and you would be able to get your music career moving. great musicians deserve great things.

  • how much does a hammered dulcimer costs???? please you gotta tell me!!!! its the most awesome instrument i ever heard!!!!

  • Simply awesome

  • wooow

    beautiful

10/10 fav it and sub =^,-,^=

    ok.bye bye.♂♂

  • I couldn't do this in actual life.. On Wii music.. yes.. the actual thing no... But I did see a guy Playing this instrument thatI can't remember the name of when I was going on an aRt tour thing... Poor guy was being drowned out by these people playing old songs..

  • This song consists mostly of the same chords repeated over and over again. It gets tiresome.

  • This sounds so brilliant a trance song would super sick like this.

  • Can anyone recommend good starting books or videos for learning this instrument?

  • this is breathtaking!

  • When I was a little kid growing up in Northern California there would be these sort of traditional Christmas festivals downtown. They invariably featured hammered dulcimers, pasties and staying up too late. Now I want to eat a pastie under the stars :)

Your music is beautiful, thanks for posting it here.
