I totally understand Olli when he was yelling at Christian again. I know some people who have been cheated on and it takes a long time to get over the hurt. From day 1 after Christian cheated everyone was telling Olli to get over it. Even Christian wasn't upset that he cheated only that he lost Olli. Then all Olli wanted was some time apart to think things through but Christian couldn't keep it in his pants. Olli only got with someone else when Christian took off his wedding ring.

And there's a lot of Christian-bashing going on, which, in my opinion, is totally unfounded. Both Christian and Olli have made plenty of mistakes. Despite this, they are both good, kind people, and they deserve each other.
I think what has been forgotten is when Ollie's indiscretions with Rob to boltster the club it caused Christian's insecurity in their relationship; then Ollie's penchant to have a foster child or adopted one within the first six months of their marriage.and condemning Christian for not being readily acceptive of it. Ollie sounds like a drama queen that wants only his way. They should find Christian a hot handsome man for Ollie to compete with to win back Christian.

I have a theory. The only way those two are going to get back together is for something to happen to Christian and he ends up in the hospital again or worse and for Olli to finally realize he needs Christian. Those two can't break up. I think the main reason they call this series 'Forbidden Love' is because of those two because same sex relationships in most countries are still frowned upon... That' just my opinion.

I thought this was going to be cute tbh, because Christian was fixing his hair before he entered the apartment and then they were both so nervous around each other, it made me smile. Then they started shouting at each other and IDK I won't point fingers at who is wrong and w/ever but I think they were BOTH incredibly rude to do that to Nico. Sometimes the world continues revolving when you and your relationship aren't at the center of it. At least we're getting some movement in their story.
if they break them up, please let me know of other interesting gay storylines to move to. If they split, not enough in the show to keep my interest until they reunite them, yet again. @everettb100 Well what you say is true, in my opinion. One of the things that attracted me to this couple/show was their happiness. Executives on TV shows underestimate audience's desire to see their stories have happy characters. Unfortunately, happy character relationships don't produce high ratings. This is generally why I don't like soaps. I prefer uneventful dramas where characters stay together, or stories where the drama takes place outside the relationship or to the relationship.

Nonetheless, I work in the area of writing myself, and so I can think of a few possible scenarios that may happen to Chris and Olli. I only guess, because many people seem to be complaining about what the writers are hatching.

Keep in mind, that ultimately the writers for a show like VL need to keep their ratings up, thereby securing the funding for the show and thus staying on the air. So there has to be a great deal of manoeuvring in a plot lines to keep an audience interested. That's why in continual stories, like soaps, characters marry several times, have several affairs, abortions, accidents, fallouts etc. in succession. The characters are meant to mimic real people, but not real people’s lives.

But with this divorce episode, you’ll probably see a small spike in the number of people watching. The only reason a show like VL would bring the story line to a close is that they want to cut their losses and start another similar story line. What they would do with the Chrolli storyline, is sell it in syndication. Which the VL writer’s have done (Jo Weil mentioned this in an interview), thereby continuing to make money off of it, even if they kill the relationship between Chris and Oliver.
chris lost all, his father, brother in marriage, his dream of boxing, the little adoption baby, and now is coming to lose the last one, and the most important, the most important person of his entire life, Oliver.
No one knows the valour of a thing, unless he losses it... And oli is all he wants, he MUST act now, save the marriage, demonstrate to oli that he loves him, fight for both, and make oli understand, that they need each other, with his perfections and imperfections
I'm so confused why is Olli suddenly not okay with being around Christian when just last episode they were all playing foosball and having a grand time? I hate that every single time I think there's going to be a breakthrough and things will start to get better it only gets worse.
I have a feeling Christian is not gonna be agreeable to a divorce. And how can Olli be friends with Jessica, but still be so angry with Christian is a bit hypocritical. They've both done spiteful things to each other on PURPOSE! @iluvjensen1 I hope you are right. There is a lot of foregiveness needed in both directions. Infidelity is a terrible thing, but can be foregiven. When I reflect on the years of this relationship, I think of the many outstanding examples of when Christian showed his deep love for Olli - coming out in front of the boxing spectators, his terror at possibly loosing Olli to the aneurysm, the AIDS scare, dealing with the Rob issue. Somehow I would like these to be considered. Here is hoping

Nuke was canceled, Ro of DeRo died, Brendan is in jail w/Ste thinkin he's a serial killer, Will is bleh & Chad/Sonny isn't gonna happen apparently, Aaron is an emotional mess, Chris from Neighbors has yet to meet his love interest, Teddy is only gonna be on 5 90210 episodes & Chrolli is too busy being stubborn and saying stupid words like divorce.
@iluvjensen1 I can't believe they killed Roman off omg. I don't really watch that show, but I watched some clips early this summer when Chrolli were making me sad. It didn't really grab my attention, and I'm sorry if this is superficial but I got used to Chrolli being really handsome and forgot that not everyone looks like that haha. Actually VL as a whole has pretty good looking people lol, so even if the story line is frustrating I can lose myself in the pretty.

it became more ridiculous...i just hope that the writers reconsiderate about the storyline..the whole world are waiting to see CHROLLI.. even though the "writers" feel its a cliché... but CHROLLI's fan are dying to see them reunite..can u just fulfill our hopes...

To the writers: ending this couple is seriously a crime against humanity, so I hope to god you are just playing the "drama queen" card here and drawing out the reunion to make it that much sweeter. I got really confused over this story. It seems that my mind is unable to see Crolli as a whole anymore. Right now...I just see them as an acquaintance, which is really breaks my heart! Once again in English: In comparison to older storylines of them when they were still a couple, I have to say that the characters totally changed for some reason.. I even just don't know what character traits they really have and what's important to them.. Well, I think that's a pity to change everything without any reason.. Or did the writers had a reason? 1: I am really sad at where the storyline is going, somehow I always felt that Oli & Christian where star-struck to be together. This bickering and fighting constantly is totally out of character for them. Reflecting ON ALL THE THINGS they have gone through to be together and now, somehow out of the blue it feels just pushed and simply un-related to what they were in the beginning for each other.

Seriously, if VL had picked random people off the street and asked them to write for the series they couldn't do a worse job than these writers, they might even be better. Anyone looking for a sensible end to this SL and a believable explanation for Christian's insatiable urge to get drunk and shag loose women is going to be disappointed.
@Paulie2906 I couldn't agree more. It's a point I've been trying to make over & over & over. The writers have taken Olli & Christian so far our of character that they're hardly recognizable anymore. Many of us will never be able to look at them the same way even if they do get back together eventually. I had hoped the return of Tom Chroust to the writing would signal getting this train wreck back on course, but so far that hasn't happened. Tom was the one who got the Chrolli saga started.
I think this is progress! They've talked about their relationship TOGETHER, Olli is probably not mentioning Jessica again, and I actually think they need a divorce, a break from each other for real, in stead of being married and fight the few times they talk. I think two things might happen. 1. They don't go through with the divorce and realise how much they love each other right before signing the papers. 2. they go through with it, and after time apart, they finally get back together :) hope!
The only possible answer, I suspect, is therapy or another health scare for Christian, but that has been used so many times that it is getting old. The writers need to focus on this story intensely and revive it quickly.
The writers are getting close to losing their international watchers who clung to this once hidden German soap opera with the development of the Chirstian and Oliver storyline. Dramatic impact and the twists and turns, ups and downs of a relationship are great, but the writers cannot forget that they produced the first and most authentic gay male relationship on television and they are destroying it.
Hmmm this might be one of those situations where during the divorce process they realise just how much they love each other and end up not getting divorced...? *wishful thinking*

Also, Olli wouldn't be friends with Jessica if the affair had actually had an any emotional effect on him. @hbfarker It is definitely bad writing but I guess the writers wanted to push Jessica into the Chrolli storyline and become a focal point of the show. I don't understand it? Jessica is so annoying and I feel her character hasn't shown an ounce of humanity yet or empathy. Jessica comes across as very self centered. I also am tired of Christian always being the one that has to chase Olli. I would like for a change for Olli to see his tantrums and outbursts won't get him anywhere with Christian.

A mature adult recognizes that adults are flawed and not perfect angels. Christian was wrong BUT so was Olli. It gets boring and old for Olli to act like he is perfect.
Olli kissed Christian when he was still with Coco but he certainly didn't sleep with Christian until after Coco had gone to Goa and the relationship was over. Also that kiss only happened after Coco had confessed to Olli that she was in love with him so Olli was hardly muscling in on a committed relationship. Olli and Christian were in a committed relationship and it hard to forgive when your partner cheats on you not once but twice and keeps brushing it off as nothing.

So let me get this straight(no pun intended), the only gay couple on the show who have been together for what like four years(not really sure of the time gaps on soaps) gets married in the last year and now are getting a divorce after a year of marriage.
Well that is a great way to promote marriage in the homosexual community. I mean might as well have a sign that says "Don't get married, just do everything like you are getting married.
At this point I might give up on Chrolli with them.
I loved to see a bit of Chrolli interaction for once. And though it annoys me that they hung out a while ago without fighting and now suddenly it's, "Oh, we fight everytime we meet," I'm still happy that they talk about their relationship for once. This divorce is never going to happen, I'm sure of it. Olli only brought it up to put a bit of pressure on Christian, and Christian will definitely rise to the occasion. Maybe they'll get as far as almost signing the papers, but that'll be all. :)
The story line between Christian and Oli makes no sense. Oli is still upset about Christian sleeping with that Jessica, yet Oli is friends with her. Oli is totally F***ed up. This story line is tired! I hope they end this story between Christian and Oli, and introduce a new hunk for Christian.
interesting how much hate towards Olli here. bc he didn't forgive Christian his awful behavior-see flashbacks!(and it's not just his chaeting-Christian acted like an as..le in the last time) and Olli finally madethe only possible decision.Christian makes puppy eyes and everyone here forget everything and is excited - such hypocrisy :((
Go Olli! I hope he finally gets a relationship that he deserves and Christian can do what he wants, I don't care anymore about him,his puppy eyes and "emotional reactions ".He can fuck who he wants,that his worshipers were more excited.
It's really weird, maybe I've just been mentally preparing myself for this, but I'm not nearly as upset at the talk of divorce as I expected. Of course i don't want that for them - I think they still love each other and belong together, but it sort of seemed inevitable with where the writers were going. The cheating is a big deal, but it seems to be forgotten that before that Ollie lied to Christian about removing them from the foster parent list. Their problems go deeper then just C cheating.
I totally understand Olli when he was yelling at Christian again. I know some people who have been cheated on and it takes a long time to get over the hurt. From day 1 after Christian cheated everyone was telling Olli to get over it. Even Christian wasn't upset that he cheated only that he lost Olli. Then all Olli wanted was some time apart to think things through but Christian couldn't keep it in his pants. Olli only got with someone else when Christian took off his wedding ring.

Thanks so much May :) - I'm all teary-eyed after watching this!!! It started so well with gorgeous Christian fixing his hair and all fumbly - but then, nein!!!!!! No divorce, bitte, bitte, bitte!! It was great to see a scene with just Christian & Olli though - been a while since they were civil to one another - hard to watch but really great!!!

I think what has been forgotten is when Ollie's indiscretions with Rob to boltster the club it caused Christian's insecurity in their relationship; then Ollie's penchant to have a foster child or adopted one within the first six months of their marriage.and condemning Christian for not being readily acceptive of it. Ollie sounds like a drama queen that wants only his way. They should find Christian a hot handsome man for Ollie to compete with to win back Christian.

I have a theory. The only way those two are going to get back together is for something to happen to Christian and he ends up in the hospital again or worse and for Olli to finally realize he needs Christian. Those two can't break up. I think the main reason they call this series 'Forbidden Love' is because of those two because same sex relationships in most countries are still frowned upon... That' just my opinion.

Nico (someone he also once cheated on) has just lost her husband at the hands of her cousin/friend, who allowed his husband to take the blame; they're both standing right there, and he has the audacity to praise Helena for clearing her conscience during Phillip's funeral? I thought this was going to be cute tbh, because Christian was fixing his hair before he entered the apartment and then they were both so nervous around each other, it made me smile. Then they started shouting at each other and IDK I won't point fingers at who is wrong and w/ever but I think they were BOTH incredibly rude to do that to Nico. Sometimes the world continues revolving when you and your relationship aren't at the center of it. At least we're getting some movement in their story.

These past 5 months have been quite enough. This past week, saw the Deniz and Roman story, but they have killed Roman off - so done with that one....

@everettb100 Well what you say is true, in my opinion. One of the things that attracted me to this couple/show was their happiness. Executives on TV shows underestimate audience's desire to see their stories have happy characters. Unfortunately, happy character relationships don't produce high ratings. This is generally why I don't like soaps. I prefer uneventful dramas where characters stay together, or stories where the drama takes place outside the relationship or to the relationship.

Keep in mind, that ultimately the writers for a show like VL need to keep their ratings up, thereby securing the funding for the show and thus staying on the air. So there has to be a great deal of manoeuvring in a plot lines to keep an audience interested. That's why in continual stories, like soaps, characters marry several times, have several affairs, abortions, accidents, fallouts etc. in succession. The characters are meant to mimic real people, but not real people’s lives.

@samtelvis There is truth to what you say, however, every once in a while it is determined that you can evolve a primary storyline while still keeping people together. I admit, that is rare when the characters are gay. That is why it is so important that they do that here. You can build interesting storylines around Chrolli, without periodicaly destroying the relationship. When have we seen actors with this much talent and chemistry portraying gay characters? why waste that??

But with this divorce episode, you’ll probably see a small spike in the number of people watching. The only reason a show like VL would bring the story line to a close is that they want to cut their losses and start another similar story line. What they would do with the Chrolli storyline, is sell it in syndication. Which the VL writer’s have done (Jo Weil mentioned this in an interview), thereby continuing to make money off of it, even if they kill the relationship between Chris and Oliver.

@iluvjensen1 I hope you are right. There is a lot of foregiveness needed in both directions. Infidelity is a terrible thing, but can be foregiven. When I reflect on the years of this relationship, I think of the many outstanding examples of when Christian showed his deep love for Olli - coming out in front of the boxing spectators, his terror at possibly loosing Olli to the aneurysm, the AIDS scare, dealing with the Rob issue. Somehow I would like these to be considered. Here is hoping

New favorite storyline is Lucas & Edwin from GTST even though Lucas is in a coma & some new hospital intern is about to cause some trouble.
Nuke was canceled, Ro of DeRo died, Brendan is in jail w/Ste thinkin he's a serial killer, Will is bleh & Chad/Sonny isn't gonna happen apparently, Aaron is an emotional mess, Chris from Neighbors has yet to meet his love interest, Teddy is only gonna be on 5 90210 episodes & Chrolli is too busy being stubborn and saying stupid words like divorce.

It didn't really grab my attention, and I'm sorry if this is superficial but I got used to Chrolli being really handsome and forgot that not everyone looks like that haha. Actually VL as a whole has pretty good looking people lol, so even if the story line is frustrating I can lose myself in the pretty.

Once again in English: In comparison to older storylines of them when they were still a couple, I have to say that the characters totally changed for some reason.. I even just don't know what character traits they really have and what's important to them.. Well, I think that's a pity to change everything without any reason.. Or did the writers had a reason? I don't think so.. That's all really weird.. I want the old Chrolli back! Why did they change everything.. I don't get it!

Also, wenn ich das mal vergleiche mit vorher, also als sie noch zusammen waren und alles gut war.. Dann muss ich sagen, dass ich die Autoren nicht verstehe! Die Charaktere haben sich auf einmal total verändert.. Ich weiß eig gar nicht mehr was Olli und Christian so ausmacht.. Hm.. Schade, finde es doof, wenn man etwas einfach grundlos ändert.. 1: I am really sad at where the storyline is going, somehow I always felt that Oli & Christian where star-struck to be together. This bickering and fighting constantly is totally out of character for them. Reflecting ON ALL THE THINGS they have gone through to be together and now, somehow out of the blue it feels just pushed and simply un-related to what they were in the beginning for each other.

So after making no effort to save the marriage because we were too busy sleeping with twinks and trollops we have suddenly started talking about divorce. Seriously, if VL had picked random people off the street and asked them to write for the series they couldn't do a worse job than these writers, they might even be better. Anyone looking for a sensible end to this SL and a believable explanation for Christian's insatiable urge to get drunk and shag loose women is going to be disappointed.

@Paulie2906 I couldn't agree more. It's a point I've been trying to make over & over & over. The writers have taken Olli & Christian so far our of character that they're hardly recognizable anymore. Many of us will never be able to look at them the same way even if they do get back together eventually. I had hoped the return of Tom Chroust to the writing would signal getting this train wreck back on course, but so far that hasn't happened. Tom was the one who got the Chrolli saga started.

I think this is progress! They've talked about their relationship TOGETHER, Olli is probably not mentioning Jessica again, and I actually think they need a divorce, a break from each other for real, in stead of being married and fight the few times they talk. I think two things might happen. 1. They don't go through with the divorce and realise how much they love each other right before signing the papers. 2. they go through with it, and after time apart, they finally get back together :) hope!

The only possible answer, I suspect, is therapy or another health scare for Christian, but that has been used so many times that it is getting old. The writers need to focus on this story intensely and revive it quickly.

The writers are getting close to losing their international watchers who clung to this once hidden German soap opera with the development of the Chirstian and Oliver storyline. Dramatic impact and the twists and turns, ups and downs of a relationship are great, but the writers cannot forget that they produced the first and most authentic gay male relationship on television and they are destroying it.

WHY does Olli over react in the wrong direction every single time! We love each other but hey it's a bit bumpy and real, lets break up! Typical Drama Queen! That being said, it does add interest to the story line. Poor Nico, her best friend kills her husband and all her other friends can do is snipe at each other.

I'm not sure how Olli can keep throwing Jessica in Christian's face, when Olli also cheated on Christian. Also, Olli wouldn't be friends with Jessica if the affair had actually had an any emotional effect on him. (bad writing) A divorce makes perfect sense since the writers decided that Christian isn't gay anymore. So what's the point of a reconciliation?

@hbfarker It is definitely bad writing but I guess the writers wanted to push Jessica into the Chrolli storyline and become a focal point of the show. I don't understand it? Jessica is so annoying and I feel her character hasn't shown an ounce of humanity yet or empathy. Jessica comes across as very self centered. I also am tired of Christian always being the one that has to chase Olli. I would like for a change for Olli to see his tantrums and outbursts won't get him anywhere with Christian.

Olli kissed Christian when he was still with Coco but he certainly didn't sleep with Christian until after Coco had gone to Goa and the relationship was over. Also that kiss only happened after Coco had confessed to Olli that she was in love with him so Olli was hardly muscling in on a committed relationship. Olli and Christian were in a committed relationship and it hard to forgive when your partner cheats on you not once but twice and keeps brushing it off as nothing.

So let me get this straight(no pun intended), the only gay couple on the show who have been together for what like four years(not really sure of the time gaps on soaps) gets married in the last year and now are getting a divorce after a year of marriage.
Well that is a great way to promote marriage in the homosexual community. I mean might as well have a sign that says "Don't get married, just do everything like you are getting married.

I loved to see a bit of Chrolli interaction for once. And though it annoys me that they hung out a while ago without fighting and now suddenly it's, "Oh, we fight everytime we meet," I'm still happy that they talk about their relationship for once. This divorce is never going to happen, I'm sure of it. Olli only brought it up to put a bit of pressure on Christian, and Christian will definitely rise to the occasion. Maybe they'll get as far as almost signing the papers, but that'll be all. :)

It's really weird, maybe I've just been mentally preparing myself for this, but I'm not nearly as upset at the talk of divorce as I expected. Of course i don't want that for them - I think they still love each other and belong together, but it sort of seemed inevitable with where the writers were going. The cheating is a big deal, but it seems to be forgotten that before that Ollie lied to Christian about removing them from the foster parent list. Their problems go deeper then just C cheating.
