  • I have attended several of her concerts. Well worth it! A fine guitarist and composer.

  • wow wonderful girl!

  • ----->>> HARP MUSIC HEALS and HarpMusicToGo *dot* com is bringing it to the world!

  • Wow! I've never seen anyone move so seamlessly from arpeggios to artificial harmonics. I've got to work on that. And I need to get a classical harp guitar :)

  • A beautiful piece that really hit me! Take care, David Q.

  • Always Amazing

  • lol wow that is the most amazing craziest...I dont even know what to call it. Very cool.

  • Wonderful!!!! Thanks to PecosMtJeff for sharing this gem.

  • Wonderfully this girl is playing !!!

    Thanks PecosMtJeff for sharing :))

  • CHAPEAU*****

  • She's not a woman, She's an angel playing guitar :-)

  • And she's also a very tiny woman at that....a giant on guitar though.

  • It's great, beautifully played. However, it sounds very reminiscent of an O'Carolan tune... though I can't recall which one ("O'Carolan's Concerto"?). I am sure that this is mis-labeled, and is a traditional O'Carolan piece. Can someone please corroborate this?

  • may have been influenced by......pages 'black mtn side' paul simon 'an american tune', to name a few. it happens all of the time. there are only 13+ notes.........

  • Nope, this is an original piece Muriel composed for her personal assistant. But yes, it follows the style of O'Carolan

  • this brought tears to my eyes. walking through Elysian fields with my heart in my throat.

  • got enought strings there? lol jk. awesome amazing job!

  • reminds me of earlier Phil Keaggy, only much better looking.

  • Cool, not for the short-fingered.

  • I never realised that harp guitars were made with nylon strings as well as steel ones. The projection of such a guitar must be astounding to witness in real life.

  • now i believe in angels.

  • bravo!

  • why is she using peavey amps? for acoustic?

  • cool whats that called that shes playing looks like a guitar bass/ harp combination

  • Harp guitar or

    Harp-guitar

  • It's a harp-guitar, I've done some checking a some weeks ago, this model is actually called a "harp-requinto", because you have the harp "added-on" a classic guitar (mexico version, capoed at 3rd fret, tuning starts from G). Check Doolin Guitars, she's there and you can hear a piece of music she is playing on this guitar :)

  • lovely Muriel is a pleasure to both eyes and ears

  • pfff, i just found that hilarious what you just said. i've only learned french for 2 years now and i understood every stupid word that you just said

  • you are amazing! keep it up!!!

  • WOW! impressive! love it! :) very nice :)

  • just an angel.. wow.. no words...

  • Hey Tracydolls, vas vendre ta m...ailleurs, tu veux? ça fera des vacances pour tout le monde,et si tu as le moindre soupçon sur la signification du mot "respect",essaies d'en faire preuve de temps en temps.

  • shes really good and really nice. i met her at my school and she was cool to talk to + she gave us a miniconcert it was awesome.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • AMAZING!! Holy Shit!!!

  • Tommy Emmanuel - the King of acoustic

Muriel Anderson - the Queen of acoustic

Me .. well .. you decide .. haha

if you like this type of music, check out my stuff

    Jeff Williams / guitarist

  • I'd say Joni Mitchell was the Queen but Muriel in certainly the Princess. Sorry, but Bensusan is the King. And that's why Michael Hedges who was a Prince wrote a piece called Bensusan. Too bad the Pamela Anderson fake boobs are more well known that the real Muriel Anderson artistry.

  • Will you marry me. I'll buy you a new car!

  • Totally awesome! What an artist! Exquisite fusion of so many styles/forms/genres into something as original and lovely as it's creator. Live long and prosper, Muriel.

    YOU RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I met Muriel at The 2005 Healdsburg Guitar Festival. She didn`t have this nylon harp guitar then.Which artisen did she commision to build it?and would they sell this training luthier a guitar plan of it?Perhaps Muriel herself might be reading this and be inclined to oblidge me!What an intelligently engineered acuistical machine!

  • Super !!

  • nice sounds

  • Thank you for your hard work Muriel, it sounds great and your appreciated.

  • o...m...g...

    that was a great song

does anyone know the name of that instrument she is playing? cuz that looks really cool; that instrument was the reason why i decided to check out this vid- thumbs up for Muriel ^^

  • It's a harp guitar.

  • I LOVE HER :) haha .. see my guitar video's .. you'll see why :) haha .. Muriel will you marry me ? haha .. thanks for posting .. your friend jeff .

  • How old is she? She looks young, and she has great talent.

  • Nick, on that video she looks like a teenager. I talked to her after a concert last week, and I'm not sure of her age. Somewhere in her 30's, I would guess.Amd yes, she is an amazing talent.

  • This made me cry.

  • goood buth not bad...

  • Story line. Beautiful girl meets beautiful instrument and makes beautiful music. Wrap up with happily ever after and fill in yourself.

  • Never heard of her.Came on this by accident just now. When I stop falling in love, that's how I'll know I am dead.

  • And tapping, Yes I am watching a 5th time now :)

  • Incredible! Worthy of being featured! 5 stars! Excellent technical diversity. Did you all notice she was playing harmonics on both sides on the fly, hammering on, and playing both sides while fingering the melody!! Incredible x 2!!!

  • This video doesn't nearly do justice to the sound of this instrument. Saw it live at The Swannanoa Gathering this past summer. Unbelievable. Such a warm, throaty resonance and deep beauty.

  • lifacvillar:

Then, if you are a musician, perhaps a more appropriate response is to express the desire to hear more music from her, perhaps play with her, share musical ideas. I'm sure you regret saying what you did, if you are a humble person. Having some care and sensitivity is probably a good thing. There's something "doubly dirty" about expressing a base instinct in a creative arena like this. Don't you think?

  • Oh, I want to have sex with her..

  • I'm sure that's just what she had in mind when she committed herself to 100,000 hours of practice.

  • Of course not, I am a musician myself, and i´m sure she didn´t.

But I like these kind of woman, and I like to express how she turns me on

  • Fascinating! Never even heard of this instrument before!

  • Nice.

  • Cant wait to see her at the Naples Harp Guitar Festival. She does the instrument justice. ;)

  • Bet it's hard to play one of those things. Notice how she plays a harmonic on the "harp" end of the instrument mid-tune. It would be hard to even find the harmonic, let alone play it on the run.

  • shes good!
