Since we don't know who the "elect" are, we just have to keep preaching & teaching God's Word, praying for those we know & meet. "Mary worship" is a common misconception made by protestants with prejudice and little understanding of the Catholic faith. Catholics worship God and God alone. Catholics most certainly accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior as well. This "Mary worship" is just a prayer for Mary to pray for us. Catholics honor the saints, who are any person who has made into heaven, but we in no way worship them.

What a let down... The story of Jesus was beautifully depicted in this wonderful series of videos, but then goes to put down every religion but protestantism. This has Baptist written all over it. I kind of agree with emoguys11 though, in a certain respect. I thought the depiction of the Jewish figures to be horribly offensive at some points. The message is pretty straightforward, but the imagery is a bit out there.
In the most loving way possible: God does not send people to Hell. Everyone is guilty of sin, thus the penalty of sin must be paid. God does not wish this on anyone (showing just how horrible Hell really is), thus, he sent His Son to pay for our sins on Calvary. In layman's terms, by accepting Jesus as Savior, we have literally done the equivalent of allowing someone else to pick up the check for us. If you reject Jesus, you've decided to pay for sin yourself, thus you send yourself to Hell.

Since we don't know who the "elect" are, we just have to keep preaching & teaching God's Word, praying for those we know & meet. That is assuming that Mary and the Saints are All-seeing, All hearing, and All-knowing. There is not a shred of evidence in the bible that we are supposed to ask dead people to "intercede" for us, no matter how "good" they were. Thats just another piece of Catholic Church doctrine which is unbiblical(like purgatory) and built on paganistic beliefs. No wonder most of my friends who were once Catholics are now Muslims, Mormons, and most of all ATHIESTS.

Where in the bible does it say that everyone in heaven is a helper? We pray or talk to ONLY God because God alone is all hearing, all knowing, and all seeing. Everyone in heaven cannot hear our thoughts. We don't ask the angels ANYTHING- we ask GOD to send his angels around us. You guys have backwards logic. No wonder most Catholics become Athiest or Muslim.

"Mary worship" is a common misconception made by protestants with prejudice and little understanding of the Catholic faith. Catholics worship God and God alone. Catholics most certainly accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior as well. This "Mary worship" is just a prayer for Mary to pray for us. Catholics honor the saints, who are any person who has made into heaven, but we in no way worship them.

What a let down... The story of Jesus was beautifully depicted in this wonderful series of videos, but then goes to put down every religion but protestantism. This has Baptist written all over it. Eternal damnation to ALL who wouldn't become Baptist, especially you Roman Catholics and you Muslims. Just gotta love the classical Baptist fire and brimstone way of converting people. Also, Catholics don't "worship" Mary, as many protestants believe. :)

Something I never quite understood about Christians. You say that we should just start believing this with no credible evidence. How can a person just decide to believe something? People can talk themselves into believing something but when push comes to shove, they don't act any different than atheists. Maybe it's just co-incidence but I've been cheated, lied to and abused by Christians the same as pagans. There is only 1 thing I'm 99% sure of: There IS a creator and I'm not Him......or Her.

I kind of agree with emoguys11 though, in a certain respect. I thought the depiction of the Jewish figures to be horribly offensive at some points. The message is pretty straightforward, but the imagery is a bit out there.

In the most loving way possible: God does not send people to Hell. Everyone is guilty of sin, thus the penalty of sin must be paid. God does not wish this on anyone (showing just how horrible Hell really is), thus, he sent His Son to pay for our sins on Calvary. In layman's terms, by accepting Jesus as Savior, we have literally done the equivalent of allowing someone else to pick up the check for us. If you reject Jesus, you've decided to pay for sin yourself, thus you send yourself to Hell.
