This video is great because Patti has her late parents in it, her friend & powerhouse vocalist Joceyn Brown who did backgrounds with others on this song, David Pack, co-composer, with Jeff Pescetto & a fine vocalist, producer also. & the joy that seems to be a whole lot of what Patti's life is about ...: )

It's not that she could've went further w her singing, she's bn singing pro since age 4 (Apollo Theatre) recording since age 5, thn a break for school life & LIFE, recording again at age 15 & 16, singles. 1st album 1975 or 76 on CTI Records, also she became the Top background vocalist on 100s of famous ppl's records & the Queen of the commercial Jingles on TV & radio, singing several spots airing on diff networks at same time! It's marketing, & fickle rec buyers. PA = Superstar! Accomplished!

The crazy thing about this is Patti Austin was never considered a "superstar'" performer, but name one female vocalist today with a better, fuller singing voice. Flawless and beautiful.

They need to do a UNSUNG show on her because i have never understood why she was never bigger. Her voice is very pleasant to listen to and she sings about things ppl can relate to. I love this quality of music and she did a few duets with James Ingram that were very moving too.

Great song from a wonderful singer and person. For those interested, David Pack the keyboard player in the video has produced many other singers with equal results. Also Omar Hakim the drummer is one of the best.
