Nothing wrong with being a "hick" (hate that term). Some of the best engineers I knew were "hicks". Your people made an honest living a built a home, purchased property, and a made place for themselves. They didn't steal it from anybody, worked hard and saved to get it, and valued its importance. Me, having come from the "inner city", I can tell you the culture sucks, no matter how Hollywood tries to portray it as "noble". Cool doggeh! My dog is 15, too. She'll be 16 soon and she can still run around like a crazy pooch thing. It's amazing. Although she is nearly completely deaf...that's about the only sign. Well, that and the grey hairs. I think it is because she's a mongrel that she's doing this well (less in-bred health issues over pedigrees) and she's not too big (small dogs live longer than big dogs). I'll really do love her to bits....she's my best friend. She's just so damn loyal.
