Oh, and what do you do with those 'extra' cards? Just put them on the bottom of the deck? Thanks in advance btw, and thanks for this vid. Feels like I can connect with my grandmother again, by learning this.
Hi, I wondered why you put two cards down first before putting down the present card, and 4 more before future? I couldn't find it on your blog, and quite frankly I feel it's a lost art, because google isn't giving me much, and I'm trying to relearn this! (my grandmother tried teaching me when I was 10, but unfortunately she died soon after and haven't done it since. ironically coffin was in my future the last time I did this, so it took me a while (13 years) to get back in. ;>_>)
@CyV555 The first card was 3, the Ship, so she counted 1, 2 and put the THIRD card next. It was #5, the Tree, so 1,2,3,4 and put the fifth card for the future: #4, the HOuse. Then she added 3+5+4 to get #12, the Birds, for advice.
I don't know that it's a "lost art", personally I've only seen the numbers on the cards used this way recently but it's a nice little method.
@CyV555 ps The most traditional method I know of is Iris Treppner's, and she uses the numbers on the cards for House System in the Grand Tableau, not as a means of picking the next card in a layout, at least I haven't seen any of the old guard readers doing it that way.
Excelente!!! Estoy iniciándome en la lectura de estas cartas. Una amiga me las trajo de París. Pero no hay un acuerdo acerca de los significados. Me gustaría saber más sobre el tema.
