it runs on maemo, and if you google maemo garage, you'll find tons of apps that you can put on the tablet, which include things like calendars and reminders. hope that helps!
actually I think the keyboard is very decent probably a little more inconvenient than the one on the nokia but I think it has a lot of features that make up for that
WI-max is basically what the name says it is......its wi-fi to the MAX, supposedly, wifi signals will be spread even farther, i heard maybe a couple miles, and if youre in with in that radius, which is huge, you can pick it up with the new n810 wi-max edition...
why do so many online shops say this is a phone its so annoying and why is it so much cheap in the US than in the EU its like $340 and €340 with is not the same? i hope i can import the wimax version and it will still work here in ireland
so it's not worth getting. bcuz i have regular phone service and i was trying to get a phone with keypad and i liked the phone very much. thanks for ur help
Nokia is making a big mistake with this device. I have the original n810 and I love it & yes it makes calls and video calls for that matter, but its wifi only. This is not a device for the main stream market it is to complicated for a noob to understand. If you want an easy to use portable internet device this aint it. Remember Wimax is very expensive If you arent familiar with linux and arent a serious tech junkie stay away from this device it is not friendly to beginners.
no, spint will just offer the Wi-Max service. There are no GSM, CDMA, or any other cellular standards on the device. But it sucks because it takes some big industrial service like sprint that charges bills like crazy. I just wish Wi-Max was more like Wi-Fi, just a internet connection, a modem and a router. Before phones and devices were so unique to the user, now everything is being industrialized.
i saw on cnn that the service is going to be around 25 a month. thats not bad for what you are getting. im gonna wait a bit so they get the bugs worked out of these things first.
wimax is wi fi on steroids. kind of. yes it does support java. with this device the way i understand it is you will get the device activated and connect using a wimax connection. wi max is similar to wifi but with wimax you will be getting 5-8 meg download speeds. 1-1.5 upload speeds. completly mobile.
Sprint releasing this?
