  • I just bought one of these brand new for 1500.00 I thought that was a good deal.It is the loudest cleanest amp I have ever heard.I'm also jammin it through some altec 417's.

  • I still dig Randy's tone on the live tribute. The tone on the studio albums I couldn't stand. However, the second you hear that tone you know it's Randy!

  • This guy called DICK (dick by name dick by nature) has a head only a mother could love...

  • what you hear is the Marrshall 1959 RR and the rocket pedal to push the front end!?!?!?!?!?

  • Randy Rhoads: one of the greatest kids to have ever laid his hands on a 6 string piece of win

  • what happened to randy roads

  • @61SGman what happened to randy rhoads? are you kidding? he decided to start a house band for god. now dimebag has joined, cliff burton has been playing bass.... get up there, see for yourself.

  • @loknloll Yer Sorry i no now, What a crying shame!

  • GRIM REAPER RULZ!!!!

  • Metroamps are the the real Marshall's of today!

  • you mean they throw in whatever resistors and capacitors and transformers they happen to have lying around with no quality control?

  • ??????

  • Marshall has no quality control. whatever they have in stock is what they put in it in terms of capacitors resistors and transformers and are rarely biased, thats why you will never find that two of the same model sound the same, wildly different

  • Very true!

What i mean is to buy a Metroamp kit and

build our own amp and use hand picked

    capacitors resistors and transformers !

  • good thats why ill never sell my mesa boogie quad preamp with 295 simul class amp

  • @Obelisk2290

i believe this to an extent

  • I have a 1959RR full stack and it screams tone!!! I don't get this feedback issue??? I also have a JCM 2000 TSL and it doesnt compair to the 1959RR Super Lead in my thoughts

  • are you mad woman!

  • i love randy and his tone

but this amp has so much feedback its ridiculous

with all respect to randy and marshall this amp sounds god awful

  • SOUNDS BAD?RANDY RHOADS AMP SOUNDS BAD?

    WHAT THE FUCK BITCH

    YOU MUSt BE MAD

  • Rhodes was a genius, but production of this is just an attempt by Marshall to make a few bucks. This amp is nothing more than a white, hot-rodded, jcm 800.

  • Well, exactly

  • Doh dude, if they wanted to make money out of it, they would have done a mass production run.

The amps they have made only just cover the costs of the project.

Out of it Marshall further improve their company profile.

  • it's actually a plexi dumbass .... the aesthetics of a plexi are unmistakable to anyone with half a brain also yeah it's a hot rodded plexi but plexi's are expensive anyway

  • @milkman52879 not JCM800 it's a "white, hot-rodded" 1959SLP

  • @2000guitarman

Yeah, you're right. The dude says it in the first few seconds of the video, and I was mistaken. Either way, I just couldn't justify spending a significantly higher price for an amp just because they put an "RR" on it.

  • @milkman52879 That's what Randy's amp was.

  • @thewarriorsrok

    I'm aware...

  • @milkman52879 Then I don't understand the accusation is. It's a fucking incredible amp, not a cheap piece of shit.

  • @thewarriorsrok

At what point did anyone say anything about the amp being a cheap piece of shit? I was merely implying that you don't have to get this amp to get Randy's sound....

  • @milkman52879 You're a real fucking worm. You'll never get anyone's sound.

  • @thewarriorsrok Well that's perfect because I have no interest in getting someone else's sound. Additionally, I hope you get brutally ass raped and then drowned in a prison cell toilet. Have a great day!

Btw...the Warriors suck dick for beer money!

  • @milkman52879 What's wrong with a hot-rodded 800?! Sign me up!

  • LOL!! the skinny bloke with the white les paul.. Thats T-Shirt material. i can see it now

  • omg i want one !!!

  • I think I seriously just shit bricks watching that.. hot damn! Rhoads was a genius.

  • what time of year does NAMM come around and where is it held?

  • anihim CA, and it normaly held sometime in januairy i was there this year

  • pelado de mierda

  • fuck you

    what do you listen to?

    the wiggles?

  • happy b day randall william rhoads

    we miss you!!!

    R.I.P.

  • Mr. Nick Bowcott is humble gentleman...he wrote some classic metal songs with Grim Reaper. Marshall amps rule!

  • I love the Bald Marshall dude. He is awesome, lol.

  • damn way 2 expensive i want it so bad

  • THE EVH AMP SUCKS. Eddie's tone came from Marshall. They are selling so badly right now. The 1959RR is way better.

  • duh its randy rhoads

  • UP THE IRONS!

  • haha I just used the EVH amp again yesterday and I agree with you now.

  • thats because randy changed the speakers in his amps because he thought that they were peices of junk so that helped clear up his tone

  • yeah, altec speakers right? i hear you cant get them any more

  • i dont know if they still sell them or not but all i know is is that yes they were altecs so yeah

  • amp is just short amplifier(excuse my spelling)

  • The bald guy sucks on guitar hes a fucking BLoat.

  • 1959Ah-Ah. The rep's gotta be from Boston. Still, the amp sounds like it's got that live "chip box" thing, so it sounds pretty Randy. Nice video...

  • lmfao XD

  • wow is that pricey!!!!!!

  • R.I.P. Dimebag

    R.I.P. randy love you both

  • i want that amp so much!!!! how much is the head??

  • $4200

  • The head is about $3000+ I don't know the exact price.

  • rockball23 he didn't say he's not my Idol. He said " he's not only my idol but he was a bunch of peoples idols" he's just got a fucked up accent. Like Ah Ah instead of RR.

everone loves Randy Rhoads. Or at least they should.

  • "yeah this is the 1959 Ah Ah"....hahah...lol...this guys stupid...how can he say that Randy Rhoads isnt his idol?....Randy's a God.....

  • He is a god, just not this guys. There are many gods.

  • he said "Randy was not only my idol, but a bunch of other.. .blah blah" point being he said he IS his idol.

  • fuckin idiot yankee. hes english thats why his accent is different. Randy Rhoads isa god!

  • So why do shit guitarists like Kerry King get signature marshall heads that become part of the standard range, but guitarists like Randy and Zakk only get "limited" amps

  • Money.

  • Fuck edward

  • or get a spider 3 amp, it has a crazy train tone. i think it sounds good, but its not his full tone.

  • i have a marshal amp and it is signed from the marshal guy it pretty cool

  • Sure Randy still influences kids but how the hell is a kid supposed to pull 4,000 bucks out of his ass to pay for this fucker? I wish you could just buy the signature head so you dont have to pay so much money to get Randy's tone. Also, these are going to be impossible to come by after they sell out because its limited edition. Its the same deal as with the Zakk Wylde Marshall...oh well

  • It is alot of cash; impossible for a kid/young adult to justify this purchase... Marshall could build and sell this for the same price as their current models, I wonder if they explored that option?

  • the kid like you can shell out the money from his parents MORON, like all kids, get it? KID!

  • Yeah of corse. How did I not think of that? All parents have 4,000 dollars laying around the house. Oh well, I guess I'm the idiot here. Go fuck yourself up the ass with a rusted metal dildo faggot.

  • omg i want that amp! Randy IS the best, its about time they got him a signature amp!

oh, and about the argument on shredding, it is good in small quantities, but you also need good rythem and melody, speed isnt eveything, cases in point : death/thrash metal lol.

    Rock on people!

    R.I.P. Randy! <3

  • Marshall will do anything to sell an amp for

    $2500+ I bought mine for $300 back in 1980.

  • its about time they did somehting like this, randy is truly one of teh best guitarist ever, and i am not opinionated, i rely on facts so your reading this from someone who isnt ignorantly blind, the facts still proove randy to me one of if not the best guitarist.

  • couldn't of said it better myself... was, is, and always will be the best..man i want this amp!

  • too right id love this amp i always wondered how he got that meanass live dirty heavy distortion who wouldve throrght it was a 59 marshall with more gain

  • yeah, its just his style and that why we all idolize him a guitarist...

  • dude, fucking nick is hilarious and he can shred like no other, ive seen him and kerry king of slayer live, and i know both of them SO HAH

  • Is that Nick Bowcott from Grim Reaper and Guitar World???

  • ya, he showed up with herry king and started to shred on the new marshel halfstack and strange he didnt play any grim reaper

see you in hell my friend

  • you morons, what the fuck is shredding idiots, its just taking warm ups and playing them, means you cant play guitar, cant make music, you cant be a band team member.

  • dude, do you know who the fuck that guy nick is, he was the guitarist for grim reaper, was of my favorite metal bands, he can play, he is better than you are, but not nearly as good as randy rhodes

  • have you listened to shredders have you listened to rhodes or vai or satriani bro check out "always with you always with me" or "diary of a mad man" or "for the love of god" and tell me theres no meledy i agree that some shredders go to far with speed but it is still music but on a deeper note were is this anger twords shred coming from?

  • shredding is nothing but fooloimg morons like you into believing cheat picking (sweeping aros) is fast, these are warms ups moron, maybe you can put 1 hour of waarm ups into you daily practice, jazz and classical musicians do it from ages 6 and on., your a idiot

  • lol..

  • damn whats your problem?? why do jazzbose always put down metal and shred in particular as being nothing but scales? you sad cause the great joe pass is a name only known buy a few jazzbose get off it Joe Pass was a great guitarist but so was rhodes and dime and yngwie and so was django who is better? nobody they all play diferent styles of music i am sure if any of these guitarist wanted to they could all get down and groove i for one would love to haer it happen django pass and rhodes

  • You gotta remember that inorder to get the actual Randy sound, you would need to purchase an MXR Distortion + and use it as a boost. I mean if your willing to pay the price for this amp (which will be high Im guessing) that why not drop 50 on the pedal.

  • Have you got his number?

  • Marshall best amps i have ever tried out

  • All you need is a JCM800 head normal spec, with 2 decent cabs and your good to go, Randy was never an endorsement type and its a shame he cant speak up for himself, he never endorsed anyone, if it feels good play with it is what he'd say.

  • His family endorsed the plan in memory of Randy. Not an unreasonable thing to do in memory of ones lost relative.

  • tis still seems to b about sellin expensive geas to the KIDS

  • it's a tribute. it's not meant to make a ton of money or they wouldnt have made it extremely limited. more of a collector's item

  • I know the JH100 is around $6,700(USD). I wonder how much this will be.Might have to be happy with a 1959SLP

  • it is going to be about $2,800 for the head i think. you could probably get it as a full stack for 3,200 with some negotiating.

  • i'd probably buy one cause it looks cool!

  • I have a Randy Rhoads shirt hes playing the polka dot flying V the girls always check me and the guitar out its crazy i could tell they love the guitar to lol.

  • best amp ive ever seen!

  • It's got the gain mod (#39 apparentley, same as the mod on the main amp that Slash used on Appetite....), so not really a regular old plexi with RR stuck on it.....

  • Couldn't you just buy a Plexi and have the extra gain stage added?

  • i have a line 6 spider III, i love it, but this omg this is like the best amp i have ever seen. i like the white finish too.

  • man this is so awesome i want one!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG I WANT THAT SO MUCH!

Any ideas of the price? Thanks

  • I looked at pictures of the head and couldn't find a gain knob. ?

  • u controll the gain with the volume on the guitar

  • So, theres no clean channel?

  • no, it cleans up when turn the volume on the guitar down, a lot of guitarists did and still do this.

  • Any idea of release date or cost?

I hope they release a matching cabinet...

  • I find that balding man in the Marshall T Shirt quite alluring. I'd love to meet him and buy him a strawberry daiquiri.

  • That's Nick Bowcott! Has been with marshall for like 20 years. He use to play guitar for Grim Reaper!!

  • Is they any way I can get his number? He's just such a sexy man!

  • yeah he'll see you in hell my friend

ok dumb joke i know but it's 6 am and i just got off of work cut me some slack

  • He's also a great guitarist!!!

  • True that! Bowcott kicks ass.

  • Kicks arse and has a nice shaped one too!

  • Man... aren't you tempted? Bowcott is sooo dreamy!

  • shut up

  • Does he mean a coke stain or his actual coca cola ring?

  • an actual ring from a coca cola bottle that he drank while playing that stained the top of the amp

  • yeah, why has this amp to be limited ? it's my dream amp, but I will not have the chance to get one

  • i know how you feel i just got a g-dec 30 u know its a great amp but randy rhoads is my hero and hes just awesome and his tone is amazing id rather have this amp than any other

  • your going to need a MXR Distortion +, and an MXR 10 Band EQ

  • i could just imagine a band with Rhoads, gene Simmons, Freddie Mercury, John Deacon(yeah 2 bassists, i'm a rebel), Paul McCartney (Rhythm guitar)and theres a drummer, someone suggest a drummer for my fantasy band

  • Neil Pert (Rush)

  • nice

  • Heh, I was about to say the same thing.

  • lol

  • john boham, Mike portnoy, the dude that was on judas priest pain killer album, neil pert eric simger, Bill ward, vinnie appice tommy alderige (i can't spell shoot me) the dude from the who that i can't remember his name take your pick man

  • keith moon

  • Why limited edition?

  • Isn't the amp a 2203 with the fat plexilook and white tolex? I always thought the earlier plexi's where different then the later jmp's. maybe they call it a 1959 because they actually don't reissue a late 70's jmp.

  • JMP just stands for Jim Marshall Products 1959 is the number for the non master volume circuit board used. 2203 was a master volume circuit board. Plexi is just a term used to identify 1959 and 1987's made between 65 and 69 because they used a plexiglas panel. 1987 is a 50 watt non master vol circuit model.

  • and his amp was a 1959 from 80 or 81 can't remember which year, but definately near the end of 1959s production (81 being the last year) most people confuse the 2203 w/ the 1959 due to cosmetic similarities of the early 2203s and late 1959s. 2203s came out in 75 which was I think the same year Marshall started using Rocker switches on their heads.

  • wuts the head with one cab cost? (about)

  • ok i suck with amps lol but, if i just bought the head and got two regular marshal stack pieces would it have the same sound cause if its as rare as they say it will be theres no way ill be able to afford the whole thing in time...

  • my friend is getting one ..i showed him the video today he love it even more ...he heard of the amp before me and he already just order the amp but then a couple days later i showed him the soudn and shit and he really wants it badly even more

  • I love Randy. The dude was the greatest guitar player ever, and his tone knocks everyone else's out!

  • Any info on the build quality? Is this from the handwired or vintage range of amps?

  • maybe it's the same quality as the hendrix 1959 series.. it will probably cost more then a normal plexi reisue, we can only wait and see

  • Yeah, there's a very small photo of the gut/tube sockets on the Marshall site. Looks to me that the tubes are chassis mounted which usually indicates high quality soldering/amp design. If it's an authentic re-issue, it should be handwired point to point, no? If it's only "based on", it could be anything from PCB-mounted tubes to PCB-mounted pots Silver Jubilee style.

In any way, probably the first Marshall I feel a strong desire to own!

  • i want one in BLACK, but then im told i dont need to order this re issue :/ whats that mean?
