I had the same problem with my Insprion 1300 playing Far Cry. I kind of gave up on it. I didn't realise there was a fix until I tried playing RCT3 and water didn't show up in that.

I have a 1000HA. I won't install this game on it. Great vid! Quake 3 seems to be a good one to run on it though...

there is a patch available for far cry download and install it will fix the water problem .

The maker of this video is just demonstrating the capabilities of the EeePC and how even such a low-end budget laptop computer can still somewhat run a fairly decent game. That doesn't mean he's pretending to be a gaming guru or that he can't afford a powerful computer.

No the Psp is actually more powerful because it has TWO 333mhz processor wich are optimized for gaming along with its GPU. Why does PSP have better graphics than Iphone? Because PSP is for GAMING, iphone is for...a phone. Just look at final fantasy: Crisis core It has AMAZING graphics!

god of war has graphics similiar to the ps3..or atlest a gamecub, but definetaly better then the ps2...

how is such smooth framerate possible?!! ths game runs kinda slow on my eeepc 701 even after I brought the cpu frequency up to 1080 mhz... teach me please...are you using 3d analyzer?

If you watch the entire video you will notice the performance decrease, this was a demonstration to show how the EeePC 701 was able to handle Farcry. Or another way to look at it....was possible to run.

you are able to up the resolution to 800 and even 1024 with a few fixes available.

were did you get the drivers? Are you using the drivers from the asus cd?

Drives are located on the Asus CD :)

the EEE 900 has a higher res. 1024x600, i beleive.
