It's certainly is unusual now and killing a person who's living and breathing is cruel unless that person gives consent in a form of "DNR" or euthanasia in the right state of mind. I gave scientific basis for abortions, a fertilized egg has to be in the uterus before it can be developed. Otherwise you have an ectopic pregnancy, almost always inviable.

Which are aborted, eggs that are in the uterus or eggs that are not? Living things must have DNA, be able to gather energy from its surroundings to sustain itself, sense and respond to changes in the environment, and reproduce. Though infants and children cannot reproduce, they are still alive because they will be able to in the future.

I agree that this is a moral issue, one with lives on the line, so it is very much a black-or-white issue. Either it is wrong to end an unborn child's life, or it is not. Though the federal government should not try to legislate morality, it does have a duty to protect the lives of its citizens.

Removing products from the market restricts choice, and so does regulation that makes products more expensive than they would otherwise be. Unlike Congress, you and I only get to buy things we can afford.
