Are these vehicules solely for mulitary use? I ask because I watch a show on discovery channel where we follow truckers up north that transport stuff on ice roads. Looking at this vehicule, it just seems more adapted for harsh terrain and enviroment.
Yes, they were mainly used for trucking in the 90s' though, i havnt seen manyy since then. But , yes they are basically cut in half, in between the back wheels and the wheels near the front, so it looks morelike a big rig without a trailer, so it can carry the trailer AND turn corners, otherwise nit'd be like a Limosine pulling a flatbed
Hmm..not so sure anyone was comparing the two. Not so sure anyone was asking for your opinion either. Now look what you've made me do..I've just wasted 10 seconds of my life writing this.
im American and i agree, ive seen what tatras would kick these things ass, but tatra doesnt have all the things that the us military need, you cant put all those atachments on the tatras.
As Trucker said, Tatras couldn't do what the US military needs of them. This is a much better solution that doesn't involve buying trucks from other countries.
You are so lucky ,I hoped that I can also organic drive such vehicle personally .I plan make a model about this,But I did not have the enough material and Detail Information did you see my fireengine,Hoped you like it
@ilovemeagan since you have expericance w/ these, can you tell me why the video says operational in 30 minutes but disassembly takes 60 minutes? why such a variance?
tatra please

This thing pretty much is an LVSR. or at least a combo of that and the LVS. I drive both out in Camp Lejeune, N.C. for the Marine Corps.

@Textrybal Oshkosh couple possibly make you one but for the 300 to 500 thousand, I am sure you could find something cheaper.
