I just a-d-o-r-e- this song!! I heard it the other day (good old BBC2 are re-running that supreme TV series 'Due South') on the ep 'You Must Remember This' & I just had to find out what the song was that was set to the last scenes. It packs such a punch. I cannot say more. It is like [BTW, I hope Colin James & fans at YouTube realise this is meant as a compliment!] a really cool male power-ballad (a male Jennifer Warnes?!) - absolutely brilliant! I now have to buy an album of Colin James. :-)

How was this video received when it came out in the 80's?? I find it a bit "sexy" even for today's standards, and I wasn't even 5 when this song came out
I have always loved his stuff....and he is even more awesome live.....I have seen him several times in concert. Especially when he was still unknown. I remember going to a bar and hearing him and being blown away by his talent.
I don't know much about Colin as he's virtually unknown here in Britain, but I remember picking up on this song in an episode of "Due South" and it's always stuck with me. An absolutely fantastic song, and this guy has an amazing voice!
Hey! That's where I heard it first time! The episode where Ray falls for the undercover, the red headed lady, and they're coming up on the shack where they're hidiing out, this played, and it forever stuck with me too
wish they had the awesome guitar intro too! this version is way better than the original ( a guy named Morgan Davis wrote this cool tune, and Colin made it his own)
True, but I would rather have it with out the opening then not have it at all. I am going to post my own copy of this and I will try and add the intro if I can. :D
Colin was discuvered by Stevie (more or less) he told him to drop his last name (Munn) and just go by Colin James. The reason was that in a crowded room Munn would sound like Mud lol. Personaly I think he sings better.
How the hell does he play so well while two people are makin' out behind him? Talk about focus! Think brain, think... guitar or watch porn... guitar or watch porn.... fuck it... GUITAR! I can always rent a porn vid later on.
I saw him at Massey Hall. Although it was a Christmas special he played this and "Just Came Back" plus another one i can't remember but his solos were so amazing i couldn't believe it! If anyone wants to play the guitar you should look up to him.
Dec. 10, 07 just saw'em live tonight, almost pissed my pants to this song heh..did tear up a'bit to his SRV tribute, all around just an awesome show:)
fuck man it was an amazing concert, the one with the vancouver symphony orchestra right? soooo sweet how we got colin to come back twice after he had left :D such an amazing show
I like some classical music but I was glad Colin's guitar was louder then the orchestra heh & I may listen to metal & Punk, but I listen to it for the appretian of the guitar. Same reason I listen to C. James, Clapton, Santana, formely the Tea Party, & Trower just to name a few:)
I first came in contact with Colin James' music in Oct. 1990. I saw him perform live at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. He brought down the freaken House! Over 80K people in attendance. He is one bluesy MOFO!! Awesome Guitar!
Colin and john mayers style of playing are quiet similar. this is why they are both my favourite artists. Check out my channel for some sweet music!

Couple interesting facts about this video.
This video was directed by the now famous Michael Bay of Transformers and all those Will Smith movies fame.
It was filmed at the A&M Los Angeles sound stage where Charlie Chaplain's The Goldrush was filmed in 1988.
magicten2 2 years ago
So Michael Bay DOES have more dimensions in his directing than explosions and cgi after all! ahahha
