maybe if blacks didnt act out in society the way they do (crime, gangs, etc cuz jails mostly consist of blacks, latinos, whatever) they wouldnt be looked downed upon. maybe take some lessons from some straight headed african americans. the ones that are civilized and dont have that kind of acsent that says "im proud to be this color"

Thank you for spreading the truth about my country Haiti and the importance they played in black history. They also defeated the spanish and the british. I did a 30min presentation on it in my African American Humanities class couple of years ago. I also heard Dany Glover was making a movie on the Haitian Revolution and supposedly Wesly Snipes was to play Toussaint and Don Cheadle was to play Desalines. This rumor is couple of years old now and I hope it is a true and Dany Glover releases it.

@fed3away What I'd advise you to do is, as stated in my Lesson, to research for yourself. Dutty Boukman was a self-proclaimed houngan; his 'practice' had nothing to do with the Revolution. 'Voodoo', in its origin, means healing from the Earth. The 'devil' attachment was installed by those who opposed it, long before the concept was adopted, so to speak. The christinsane french supported this euro-centric view. Toussaint and Dessalines had..realistically..more to do with their revolt.

Unless you misunderstood or didn't happen to listen to all 4 parts, I never said there was any deal with a devil. There is no 'god' nor 'devil' in any sense of common misinterpretation.. they are conceptual, not substantial.
