Many anthropologists reason that men wd not have had the chance to develop manual dexterity & have had the leisure to create tools & weapons without the help of canine 'sentries' which naturally followed & allied themselves to the human 'foodsource' - all the bits of prey animals humans found inedible were very acceptable to the canines in the camp, so mutual advantages to both species were consolidated over many millennia. Doors of course came much later in the relationship between men & dogs.
Immanuel Kant's words still holds true - 'You can judge the heart of a man by his dealings with animals'. Snitching on animal torturers & abusers, on dogfighters & bestial sadists, shd be the RULE & not the exception. If you know where a fight will take place it's only one anonymous call to the police & a world of agony & suffering can be prevented. I just wish I cd shoot a dogfighter personally!! I wd enjoy that ! I'd make sure I blew his nuts off so he cdn't breed up anymore dog killers too.
@spoofy110 - A Canadian Husky is equipped with thick fur & lots of body fat to keep warm in snow & ice. Take that dog into tropical conditions & he will suffer a lot. A Mexican Chihuahua cd die in 30 minutes if you left it outside in winter snow. Just bcos animals don't have clothes does NOT mean they can cope with extreme heat or cold! Wolves & coyotes can live outdoors, but domestic dogs, which humans have created by selective breeding, need to sleep indoors. Every Pack has a 'Den'!
@slessorpr That's why you don't see "Mexican Huskies" or "Canadian Chihuahuas"....If you're going to operate beneath your "den" concept for the sake of "humanity and compassion toward animal kind" then why don't you leave them where they are meant to be? No, you wouldn't conceed to that now would you?
@spoofy110 Wild wolves are legally protected & I am very glad of that. You seem to have a big chip on yr shoulder young spoofy, however yr reply was such nonsense, I suspect we are talking at cross-purposes. All I am pointing out is that not all dogs are equipped to live outdoors. Even wild wolves have dens, but perhaps you didn't know that. As to yr attitude, you seem to be looking for someone to abuse you. Keep trying, I'm sure some person like yourself also has time to kill.
@slessorpr Den: noun, the shelter or retreat of a wild animal; a lair.
If you're going to attempt the standpoint of "animals must be afforded the comfort of their specific den," then i don't suppose you'de be in favor of the capture and transport of wild animals. However you seem to stand amicably next to the idea that providing artificial habitats for them is somehow acceptable, that so long as you may "care" for them as you deem necessary its ok. I digress, but explain dogs prior to doors.
@spoofy110 The relationship between man & canine is long & deep. Bcos there were no doors to their dens dogs developed the trait of barking to warn others at a distance of an approaching 'stranger'. Consequently, dogs became an indispensable part of hunter gatherer campsites. They wd warn of any approaching traffic, human or otherwise. This natural dog behaviour allowed humans to relax their vigilance somewhat bcos they knew dogs wd tell them if anything was coming near.
@slessorpr You're straying farther and farther away from an arguable standpoint. Y initial statement was that animals are outside yet we are somehow supposed to save them from that burden, while agreeable that one may not unaturally subjugate animals to alterior and lethal environments, I am not in acceptence of your standpoint that it is wrong for animals to be outside, considering your previous two replies are contradicting. You have become singularly minded on dogs at this point, I digress.
Y can't everyone just luv animals lik they luv their family and y cant we treat them the way we want to be treated! They deserve to live just as much as we do maybe even more! I luv animals sooooo much and I am crying right now! Can't take watching how other people hurt the things I and many others luv!!!!
i luv animals i wish i could save all of them my friends dog mollie well before my friend got her the owners b4 had left her in a sancutary and never came bak 4 her !! I think its all unfair too be honest !
Animals are the most loyal, loving, caring, precious, forgiving, friendly, non-racist, non-jdgementa,protective, living creatures on the planet. They don't care where you live, how much money you have, the type or brand of clothes we wear. They love us for who we are not what we are. Too bad the cold heatred humans aren't the same. Maybe if they follwed our animal friends the world would be a better place to live in. Treat all animals the same way you want to be treated.
