F**K........What a waste, to die so young. EVERYTHING these guys did is just pure GOLD! That he should die just as Morphine seemed to be breaking thru commercially. And without selling out as is so often hard to do. So tragic. I suppose that when you consider they put out 5 absa-frickin'-lutely mega super duper albums plus bonus stuff you can't complain. Now it seems as if it's my duty as a good Morphine fan to go out and spread their musical gospel to the masses.
@moralejitas this song made you cry? ........LOL!!! This song as emotional as a nirpin. If you want a song where you can actually cry about, go listen to josh groban or rascal flatts. Not this bs.
Mark was an amazing lyricist-what a loss that he's gone! This song is like a better version of Hollywood Boulevard by the Kinks. It's oddly prophetic, the part about people in the graveyard. His way of calming down-the pin-ultimately killed him. Sad and Huge loss, especially for the Boston music community. Bostonrockgrrl
@bostonrockgrrl Marc didn't fool around with drugs---he was a heavy smoker, and got stabbed in the chest, both of which contributed to a lung collapse.
Ditto! I just found out about this song. I didn't know till now that Mark had died...how sad. So true, it does sound like a rip of Hollywood Boulevard...that's the 1st thing I thought of too when I heard it. Great song tho!
low-tone is more real in the progression of time

@nmatavka you dont know this. im willing to bet mark sandman had his fair share of experiences with drugs in his time (listen to the song buena)

@nmatavka Lung collapse? He died of a heart attack. Any connection to the stabbing is purely speculative.
