@Hiphson Sorry about taking so long to answer, they changed the channel around and I didn't catch the comment till now. But, no the are not psychedelic, just a great edible, springtime mushroom.
Hi Rachael, I love you too !!! I don't tell anyone my spots. They don't produce like they used to though. Just got to keep looking for new ones. Thanks for watching.
Aw dang, the shrooming season is over here in Santa Cruz and this just got me in the mood! Boy, you folks eat well. The only time (with one _tiny_ exception) I found morels in my area was when my next door neighbor did demolition during a remodel. Where he left the debris on the ground, mostly composite paneling, the morels popped up in multitudes! Apparently the building materials came from Oregon in the mid-60's. I love your videos!
Thank you so much !! One of these days I want to go to Cal. You live where David Arora ( Mushrooms Demystified ) lives . I've always wanted to meet & hunt with him. Maybe one of these days. Thanks again.
Thanks man !! I'm glad you enjoy them. Word has it, if you pull morels out of the ground, it kills the mycelium. I really don't buy that, but people yell at me if I don't cut them. Other types of mushrooms need to be pulled out for proper identification, such as with Amanitas. Actually, I cut morels in half, shake in flour, and fry them in oleo. Real butter burns too quick.
Looks like a great day and a good find. Venison and morels sounds like a good dinner to me. I'll have to try breading them next time. Do they grow back when you cut them off rather then pull them out? Well done, I enjoy these videos.

I suck at mushroom hunting. I only found 7 along a bike path where I jog when I wasn't even really looking. When I look I don't find them. : (

You two seem like fun, kind and unpretentious people. It would be nice to go shrooming with you. Good luck this season.
