If I may make a comment. The reason you're having trouble in the left hand is that you're not following the finger symbols for the left hand chords. To comfortably play them as sustaining arpeggios you need to reverse the 2nd and 3rd fingers (as written in the book:)) almost all of the inversions, 7ths chords, etc are played 1/3/2. See 3-1 and 3-2 of The Stick Book for more on this.
